Danica studied Finance and International Business, but her passion for teaching has been a constant throughout her journey. She began tutoring as a volunteer in high school and later continued supporting others in math as a peer tutor. She appreciates math for the creativity it brings, where different paths can lead to the same result. In her free time, Danica enjoys painting and solving puzzles of all kinds.
Sara is the owner at Mathnasium of Downsview. She got her B.S degree in Applied Mathematics, and have an MBA and M.A in Applied Economics from University of Central Florida, USA. Sara has taught and tutored children of all ages, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community. Married with 2 kids, Sara loves travel with family, plays intercountry tennis representing Richmond Hill Lawn Tennis Club.
Tri is currently a graduate student at York University, where his research focuses on designing innovative wearable biosensors. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from TMU, with minors in Math and Physics. Tri believes in teaching math not just as a subject, but as a vital tool for developing problem-solving skills. His passion for education was sparked by his own struggles in middle school, and he deeply appreciates the impact of a teacher who can connect with students. This connection is something he strives to achieve in his own teaching. In addition to his commitment to STEM, Tri enjoys cooking, composing music, and practicing street photography.
Viony is a University of Toronto graduate with a double major in Economics and Mathematics. She loves turning everyday math into clever life hacks, from scoring the best phone plan to finding great shopping deals. Outside of work, she enjoys building LEGO masterpieces, strolling through grocery stores, and channeling her inner boxing champ.
Winnie is an applied mathematics student at York University who enjoys turning numbers into practical solutions, from breaking down complex ideas to optimizing everyday decisions. Outside of math, she loves baking creative treats, weightlifting, and fueling up with good coffee. In her downtime, she enjoys playing badminton and hanging out with friends.
Lou completed his Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto studying Statistics and Economics. Throughout his career, Lou has had the opportunity to apply his strong mathematical background to solve complex problems and has been frequently recognized for his ability to break down challenging concepts to support learning. He is passionate about helping students excel and is motivated by the confidence they gain. In his spare time, Lou enjoys travelling, hiking, solving puzzles, playing card games, and exploring nature.
Rishigesh holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from York University, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant, helping students succeed in their studies. He has always enjoyed supporting his peers and other students in math, striving to explain concepts in a way that truly sticks. His goal is to make math less intimidating and more enjoyable by breaking it down into clear, relatable steps. Outside of tutoring, Rishi enjoys staying active by playing basketball and tennis, as well as relaxing with video games. He looks forward to helping students build confidence and reach their full potential in math.
Sogol completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Western University and is currently studying Dentistry at the University of Toronto. She has taught piano and music theory, where she enjoyed helping younger students explore the mathematical patterns in music. In her free time, Sogol enjoys solving puzzles and staying active!
Dino is a final-year student at York University majoring in Financial Mathematics with a minor in Economics. He is an instructor at Mathnasium. Outside of academics, he enjoys coffee, basketball, and cooking. He has experience cooking professionally, with training in Vietnamese, Italian, Thai, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Dirresa is currently pursuing Digital Media at the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University. Her interest in mathematics grew stronger in middle school and has continued ever since. When solving problems, she focuses on understanding the core ideas, developing logical reasoning, and paying attention to details. She hopes to inspire her students to truly learn and understand mathematics, while building both confidence and enjoyment in the subject. Outside of academics, Dirresa enjoys reading, drawing, and playing badminton.
Andrew is currently a Master’s student in Applied Mathematics at York University. His academic research focuses on mathematical modeling and optimization, specifically dealing with complex discrete mathematical models. Andrew brings his analytical skills to the centre to help students navigate and overcome their own mathematical challenges. In his free time, he enjoys playing strategy board games, listening to music and solving logic puzzles.
