Jerry is a former software developer who brings a creative approach to math education. He has a special interest in using visual analogies to explain analytical concepts, making math more accessible and engaging for students.
As Centre Director, he values building connections with students and supporting their growth through every step of their learning journey. Jerry believes math can be a shared experience that sparks curiosity and confidence. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys conversations with students over a slice of pie—especially the mathematical kind.
Raydon is currently studying at BCIT with aspirations of becoming an architect. A former Mathnasium student, he spent four years building his skills and now enjoys helping others do the same. He finds it rewarding to witness the moment when a student grasps a difficult concept.
Outside of Mathnasium, Raydon enjoys photography, playing soccer and hockey, and spending time on the golf course. His connection to the Richmond community and passion for design influence his teaching, making math relevant and exciting for the students he supports.
Jon is a senior at Richmond High Secondary and part of the IB Diploma Programme. With a long-standing interest in mathematics, he has participated in contests like the Euclid and the AMC. Jon enjoys helping students work through problems step by step and encourages a deeper understanding of math concepts. He brings enthusiasm and patience to every session.
When not teaching, he enjoys playing badminton, basketball, and volleyball, and volunteers as a badminton instructor at the local community centre.
Lily is a Psychology major at the University of British Columbia. Originally from Saigon, Vietnam, she found her passion for math in Grade 5 when she attended Mathnasium. She enjoys helping children discover new ways to understand math, believing that it is a universal language that can connect learners from all backgrounds.
Outside of the classroom, Lily spends her time dancing, playing badminton, and exploring photography. She is committed to creating a fun and supportive learning environment that helps students build confidence.
Andrea is a second-year student in the Pharmaceutical Sciences programme at UBC. She grew up in Hong Kong and once found math intimidating, but thanks to supportive teachers, her outlook changed.
Today, she uses that experience to help Mathnasium students feel more confident in their abilities. Andrea believes that anyone can succeed in math with the right guidance and encouragement. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys drawing, painting, working out, and spending time with the neighbourhood cats she meets during her walks.
