Hamza has progressed from being an Instructor at Mathnasium, Mirdif, to Assistant Center Director for both Mirdif and Barsha, and ultimately took on the mantle of Center Director at Al Barsha through his hard work and dedication. He is a Jordanian born in Dubai, U.A.E. He graduated from the University of Sharjah with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Liverpool, the UK. What he likes most about working in Mathnasium is the opportunity to teach students something new every day that peaks at the "Aha!" moment, and helping them learn their way using various educational approaches. Mathnasium also has a friendly environment, which Hamza enjoys. Hamza's passion for Math started in high school, where he led math study groups and worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for three mathematical courses at the University. He enjoys reading, keeping up with new technologies, and is "Tech Savvy", capturing photos of nature and socialising with friends.
Lina, originally from the Philippines, earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Management, from Wesleyan University in the Philippines. While studying, she developed strong administrative and organizational skills as a Student Assistant for two years.
After graduation, she worked for 19 years as an Administrative Assistant at Royce Motorcycle Trade Corporation, gaining experience in office management, customer service, and team support.
In 2016, she moved to the UAE, where she worked at the College of Fashion and Design-Dubai as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, and HR Coordinator. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Center Director for Mathnasium Al Barsha and Mizhar branches, contributing to team success with dedication and professionalism.
Ghaith believes math is about more than just getting the right answer; it’s about encouraging curiosity, building confidence, and helping students see the logic behind the numbers. His approach is calm, clear, and focused on guiding each student toward deeper understanding. He enjoys solving puzzles and challenging questions, and brings that same problem-solving spirit into the classroom.
Originally from Syria, Ghaith studied civil engineering and discovered his passion for teaching back when he was still a student himself, helping friends work through tricky topics and exam prep. That early experience sparked a lasting love for making ideas click, and he’s been sharing that passion ever since.
Theekshana has built a dynamic teaching career across multiple countries, bringing over seven years of experience in mathematics education.
Originally from Sri Lanka, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computing, a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from the University of Peradeniya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Master of Education from Lincoln University.
For Theekshana, math isn’t just about solving problems; it’s about learning to think in new and meaningful ways. She finds joy in those moments when a concept finally clicks for a student and strives to make every lesson a step toward that breakthrough.
