How Summer Catch-Up Is Different From Term-Time Tutoring

This October half-term, we’re bringing a sprinkle of magic to maths with our Potion of Progress activities!
The idea is simple: just like a potion is made up of special ingredients, progress in maths is built step by step. Over the break, children at Mathnasium will collect “ingredients” for their very own Potion of Progress each time they complete activities and challenges in their sessions.
It’s a light-hearted, seasonal way to celebrate learning – with fun names like Times Table Tonic or Equation Essence showing how different skills all mix together to help children grow in maths.
Alongside their usual tailored learning plans, children can also enjoy:
A Potion Tracker Card to keep note of their ingredients
A daily Potion Riddle or Challenge to solve
Seasonal fun that keeps maths engaging over the holidays
This half-term is all about keeping learning bubbling away while children enjoy the magic of Halloween. We can’t wait to see the creative potions our students “brew” by the end of the week!
