I HIGHLY recommend Mathnasium at the Barker Cypress location. Our son first started going to Mathnasium in 4th grade when he was struggling with math and falling behind. The Mathnasium team got him on track, and it was wonderful to watch our son gain confidence and fall in love with math! He continued to attend Mathnasium through junior high and into high school. Our son always looked forward to his tutoring sessions and really enjoyed working with the tutors. The Mathnasium team definitely helped so that he could make A’s in high school AP math classes. The team also did a great job prepping him for the math portion of the SAT (we definitely recommend working with Mathnasium for SAT/ACT preparation). Our son has only the best things to say about the Mathnasium team. We are so glad that we found Mathnasium, and we cannot thank them enough.

My son has a lot of stress over math and it translates to high anxiety. We joined Mathnasium about one month ago, and already he is relaxing when he does math. My 7 year-old daughter has been attending Mathnasium since August, and the experience has been positive. The program has helped her sharpen her math skills. Mathnasium has been an absolute blessing for my daughter! She is super shy and struggled in math but she absolutely loves going to Mathnasium. She is doing amazing. She is all caught up to grade level but I’m continuing to send her to gain confidence and have some social time since she does online school! This institution is great- very well organized and the director and teachers are very nurturing, kind and knowledgeable. My son loves this center and he is thriving. They truly understand how to teach math and all the steps and mechanics behind it. You get regular assessments and updates and know exactly what your child needs help with and what they’re good at. I highly recommend it!

We have told a lot of our friends with children about our experiences at Mathnasium. Our son had a few sessions before everything shut down, and even in that short period his math skills and confidence started to improve. When we feel safe letting him out and about within the community again we will definitely be returning to mathnasium!

We highly recommend Mathnasium! Our son has always excelled at math but since he started Mathnasium he has brought it to another level! He is in 4th grade and has already mastered 4th grade math and has started 5th grade math. Straight A’s all the time. It is definitely a great investment for their future that is for certain! The best part is our son enjoys attending Mathnasium and is excited for the next session.

We were looking for some maths enrichment for our son. Mathnasium has been a wonderful experience so far. My son genuinely enjoys going every week— he looks forward to it. I can’t ask for more. He feels the work is challenging, but not so difficult that it’s beyond him. It’s a very welcoming and accepting space, too. He enters excited to learn and leaves delighted to have succeeded. I would highly recommend it for tips and strategies for accessing maths more easily, as well as for enrichment for students who want to stretch their thinking and go beyond the regular curriculum.

This location is really great. Joy, the owner really cares about teaching the children. The teachers there are really great. He doesn’t always work with the same person but they are all patient and great at explaining new math concepts. My son loves math already and I wanted him to be challenged. They tested him first so that they need what areas of math they should focus on with him so it's not a cookie cutter, one size fits all lesson plan. He always looks forward to his classes here and is excited to come. As a mom I feel comfortable leaving him here because they provide a clean and safe environment for him to learn and expand his mind.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium. Since my son started attending, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement not only in his math skills but also in his confidence.
