Woodbridge's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
At Mathnasium of Woodbridge, our geometry tutors work with students at every skill level, whether they’re just beginning to learn about angles and polygons or tackling advanced concepts like coordinate geometry, similarity, and proofs.
We provide interactive, face-to-face instruction in a fun, small-group environment.
At Mathnasium, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary and proven teaching approach based on personalized learning plans and interactive teaching techniques, designed to make even the most visual and abstract geometry concepts easy to understand.
We build upon what students already know, strengthening foundational skills and introducing geometry concepts gradually so they can truly understand and even enjoy the subject.
We start each student’s journey with a diagnostic assessment to evaluate their skills and goals. Using the assessment-based insights, we create a personalized learning plan focused on the topics they need most, such as congruence, transformations, area and volume, or logic and proofs.
Once the learning plan is in place, our tutors provide targeted instruction, adapting to each student’s learning style to close any learning gaps, strengthen their geometry foundation, and build lasting confidence.

In his free time, Erik enjoys playing baseball and volleyball, hanging out with friends and family, going out and eating at various restaurants, and bonfires and adventures at the beach.
Christian
Assistant Center Director

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University and has several years of experience tutoring and teaching math and science. Originally from Washington State, he moved to California in 2021 and is passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. He believes that building confidence and developing real-world problem-solving skills are key to a student’s long-term success, in math and in life. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys running, camping, and reading.

We begin with a diagnostic assessment to identify current skill level, knowledge gaps, and how each student thinks about math.
Using the assessment-based insights, we build a personalized learning plan to target specific geometry topics, whether that’s transformations, coordinate proofs, or understanding theorems.
Our tutors deliver face-to-face instruction in a fun group environment, using multiple modes of learning: mental, visual, verbal, tactile, and written. This helps students grasp abstract geometry concepts, solve problems confidently, and apply what they’ve learned in class and on tests.

Unlike many tutoring services, Mathnasium focuses exclusively on math. Using the Mathnasium Method™, we combine personalized learning plans with proven teaching techniques that help students build real understanding, not just memorize steps.
We adapt to each student’s learning style — whether they learn best through verbal explanations, visual models, or hands-on practice — and create a welcoming environment where students can grow their confidence along with their math skills.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment to measure their current knowledge and skills.
Based on the results, we build a customized geometry learning plan and adjust it as they progress, ensuring each student stays challenged but not overwhelmed.
Yes. Our tutors are well-acquainted with the California Common Core State Standards and are experienced with the geometry curriculum taught in the Irvine Unified School District and nearby private and charter schools.
