I am delighted to be part of a team that supports students in becoming the best versions of themselves in a crucial subject like Maths. As a mother of two grown daughters, I understand firsthand the importance of providing the right support and encouragement to create an environment where students can thrive. It is a real pleasure to be part of the Clapham community, and I look forward to welcoming your children into our centre!
Hi, I am Juliette and I am delighted to join the team at Mathnasium Clapham as the Assistant Centre Manager. My background studying languages at UCL and my experience teaching in Italy have given me a unique appreciation for how mathematics mirrors language through logical structure and methodology. Having run a doggy daycare business in South London for several years, I bring strong problem-solving skills, high energy, and a creative approach to this role.
Outside of work, I am passionate about travelling and exploring new cultures. In my spare time, I also enjoy running and am currently preparing for my 10th half marathon! Additionally, I love going to the cinema.
I am really looking forward to working with you all and being a part of the Clapham community.
I completed my Master’s degree in Mathematics with top marks and honours in 2022 in Italy, where I am originally from. I’ve also worked in a UK secondary school, where I became familiar with the English curriculum and teaching approach.
I love maths because it combines logical thinking with creativity, encouraging you to think in different and imaginative ways. Alongside my work in maths, I’m also a professional dancer, and I see strong parallels between creativity in movement and maths.
I hope to share this perspective with students and help them see maths as a creative and engaging subject.
I graduated in Economics and Management from LSE. Teaching at Mathnasium lets me combine my love for problem-solving with helping students gain confidence in maths.
I enjoy seeing students’ lightbulb moments and tailoring my teaching to their unique learning styles. My goal is to inspire creative thinking and help them build skills for success.
When I’m not teaching, I’m probably exploring new places, learning about different cultures, or planning my next adventure.
Hi, I’m Emma, one of the lead instructors at Clapham. I’ve just finished my undergraduate degree in economics and have been working at Mathnasium for over two years, although I have been tutoring in some capacity for more than a decade. My favourite part of teaching has always been guiding the students to find the answers themselves. Teaching children how to break a problem down into smaller, more manageable parts can often give them the confidence to solve more complex problems on their own!
I also love the diversity of approaches to learning available at Mathnasium. Being able to combine visual, written and spoken cues while teaching means I’m able to cater to all the different learning styles of my students, helping them learn in the way that works best for them.
Two fun facts about me are that I have lived on three continents and I am currently trying to read a book from every country in the world – I’m at 68, hoping to get to 75 this year!
