Nick Mele taught every level of math at Green Valley High School for over 20 years, including AP Calculus BC and IB Math HL. Under his leadership, the school earned a spot on Newsweek’s Top Schools list eight times based on AP and IB exam performance.
He also spent over a decade training educators by designing and teaching courses in a Master’s in Mathematics Education program. A native of Ohio, Nick is a loyal Cleveland sports fan, still hoping to celebrate a championship win in his hometown.
Kenny Lu earned his degree in English with a teaching emphasis from California State University, Los Angeles. He began his Mathnasium journey in Las Vegas, working across several centers before joining the Anthem team.
Kenny’s passion for learning started with inspirational teachers from his own childhood. Today, he passes that love of learning on to his students, using the Mathnasium Method™ to make math meaningful and enjoyable for children of all ages.
Ashlynn Garriga is currently studying engineering at UNLV. Math has always been her favorite subject, and she strives to help students develop the same enthusiasm she has for it.
In her role at Mathnasium, Ashlynn enjoys seeing students grow more confident with every session. When she's not working or studying, she loves to dance and spend time reading.
Hi there! My name is Vanessa and I’m currently studying Business Administration and Finance at UNLV. Math has always been my strong suit and I love teaching other people math. Seeing the confidence they gain from understanding it and even learning to enjoy it brings me joy as well. In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and painting.
Hi! My name is Abby. I attend Liberty High School and have a strong passion for math and science. It's here at Mathnasium where I first discovered my love for math in my elementary schooling, and I’d love to help others discover that same excitement and confidence. Outside of school, I love making friendship bracelets and spending time playing video games. I look forward to meeting you!
Keira is a senior at Coronado High School with a long-standing love for math. As a tutor for her school’s math club, she discovered her passion for helping others understand challenging concepts.
At Mathnasium, she enjoys seeing students experience those exciting “aha!” moments. Outside of math, Keira competes in dance and spends her free time reading.
Michael is a senior at Coronado High School and plans to study kinesiology in college. Inspired by his own math teachers, he brings energy and encouragement to his role at Mathnasium.
He believes every student can learn to enjoy math with the right support and perspective. Michael also enjoys video games, k-pop, anime, and watching NFL games in his spare time.
