Our Team at Mathnasium of Apex

Samuel O.

Samuel, known as Mr. Sam to students, grew up in Apex and holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from NC State University. He brings both expertise and enthusiasm to teaching and enjoys helping students strengthen their math skills. 

When he is not at Mathnasium, Sam spends time with his two mini Schnauzers, Duke and Duchess. He also enjoys playing guitar and is a fan of the color blue. 

Ameerah A.

Ameerah is a Raleigh native and currently pursuing her studies at Wake Tech. She is passionate about supporting students in their math journeys and creating a fun, encouraging learning environment. 

Outside of Mathnasium, Ameerah enjoys painting, sketching, and photography. She also shares her home with her cat, Nefertiti, and dog, Brutus, who keep her busy and entertained. 

Ella M.

Ella is the receptionist at Mathnasium of Apex. A North Carolina native, she is currently studying Geology at NC State and Wake STEM Early College. 

She enjoys painting, playing video games, and spending time with her pets—her German Shepherd, Jasper, and her cat, Salem. 

Allen S.

Allen is a student at UNC Chapel Hill and brings a passion for learning and teaching to Mathnasium of Apex. Having lived in Massachusetts, Ontario, and North Carolina, he enjoys connecting with students from all backgrounds. 

In his free time, Allen likes coding, drawing, and playing video games. His favorite color is dark purple, and he also enjoys caring for his pet fish. 

Cat D.

Get ready to meet your amazing instructor, Ms. Cat! She’s from Charlotte and is currently studying at Wake Tech, with big plans to study Biology at NCSU soon! Ms. Cat has a super cool cat named Vera, and her favorite color is green—it matches her love for nature! When she’s not teaching, she’s out getting creative with nature-inspired art, and songwriting is her absolute jam. She also loves soaking up the great outdoors. You’re going to have a blast learning with her—she brings so much fun and creativity to every lesson! 

Devin M.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Ms. Devin! She was born in sunny Florida but grew up in Apex, so she’s got the best of both worlds! Ms. Devin is currently studying Math & Physics at UNC Chapel Hill, which means she’s a huge fan of all things brainy and scientific. Her favorite color is dark green, and when she’s not teaching, she loves hiking and exploring the great outdoors. At home, she’s got two dogs, Lucy and Tucker, and a cat named Penny—they’re always ready for an adventure! You’re going to have an amazing time learning with her—she makes every lesson exciting and fun! 

Jotham C.

Get ready to meet your instructor, Mr. Jotham! He’s originally from Detroit but now calls Apex home. Mr. Jotham is super passionate about learning and loves diving deep into new subjects—he’s always curious and excited to explore new ideas. At home, he’s got fish and birds, though he hasn’t settled on names for them yet! His favorite color is black, and when he’s not teaching, you’ll find him playing video games or even scuba diving—how cool is that? You’re going to have a blast learning with him because he makes every session fun and engaging! 

Amy R.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Ms. Amy! She lived in Maryland until she was 6, but has spent the rest of her life right here in Apex, NC. Ms. Amy has a super sweet Border Collie named Oreo, her favorite color is navy blue, and when she’s not helping students with math, she loves drawing, playing sports, and spending time with her friends. You and Ms. Amy are going to make an amazing team and have a blast tackling math together!

Greg S.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Mr. Greg! He was born in the Philippines and lived there for 11 years before moving to North Carolina. Mr. Greg graduated from NC State in 2024 and is excited to share his love of learning with you! At home, his family cares for a community cat named Robin—who just had three adorable kittens. His favorite color is green, and when he’s not teaching, you’ll find him reading, gaming, or listening to music. You and Mr. Greg are going to have an awesome time learning and leveling up your math skills together!

Caleb H.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Mr. Caleb! He’s a junior at NC State studying Biomedical Engineering and his favorite part about working at Mathnasium is seeing students finally “get it” when something clicks—he knows how big of a confidence boost that can be! In his free time, he enjoys designing and building cool projects on his secondhand 3D printer. You and Mr. Caleb are going to have a blast building your math skills together!

Arshaan H.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Mr. Arshaan! He’s a first-year graduate student at Duke University studying Biomedical Engineering. Mr. Arshaan loves helping students and finds it so fulfilling to see math concepts finally “click.” When he’s not teaching or studying, you might find him kayaking in the summer or practicing languages—he’s already working on his third one!

Bhargav J.

Get ready to meet your awesome instructor, Mr. Bhargav! He’s currently working on his Associate’s degree in Engineering, and math has always been his favorite subject. That’s why Mathnasium is the perfect place for him—he gets to help students build confidence and excel in math every day! In his free time, Mr. Bhargav enjoys programming, exploring robotics, and playing video games.
