Hello! My name is Nathan Hollander. I have a B.S. in Economics from Iowa State University and completed my Middle School Education Certification with National Louis University. Prior to joining Mathnasium, I worked as a Middle School teacher in Bolingbrook teaching 7th grade mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine and I was in the honors program while going through District 203 in Naperville. My philosophy of math education is that kids should be challenged in a way that is fun as well as developing their skills. Our Mathnasium curriculum really highlights that philosophical belief of mine. The skills they learn here will not only help them in math, but will help them become more critical thinkers and help them grow as problem solvers. I have been working in the mathematics field for 5 years and have loved helping students grow and meet their goals. My wife, Erika, is an Engineering Graduate from Iowa State University and currently works in fire protection engineering. When I’m not helping students, I love to spend time with my dog, play or watch sports, and try out different board games.
Hi! My name's Aditya Desai and I'm the lead instructor here at Aurora East. I graduated with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Right now, I'm working on my Masters in Computer Science at Georgia Tech focusing on Machine Learning and Data Science.
Math has always been one of my favorite subjects in school, which is why for my undergrad I decided to pursue the double major in Mathematics, specializing in Discrete and Applied Mathematics. Some of my favorite topics are Linear Algebra, Combinatorics, and Abstract Algebra.
A fun fact about me: I have the first 150 digits of Pi memorized. Back in Elementary School my best was 300 digits.
