Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Micha Koppel

Assistant Center Director
Micha is a graduate of the Ohio Virtual Academy, and a Summit County native. She has worked at learning centers and in early childhood development for the majority of the past 7 years. She is also very passionate about working towards better learning environments and more accommodations for children (and adults!) with neurodevelopmental disorders. Micha also loves studying science and history. Micha says, "I love working at Mathnasium because it is amazing to provide students the understanding that they often miss in school!"

Joey

Instructor
Joey is a graduate of Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio, and has loved math since he was 14. He was part of his school’s math team and has experience with tutoring. He wants to teach higher level math in the future, and is currently a math major at Kent State Stark. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family, workout, and read. Joey says, “I love working at Mathnasium because I like to teach and help students!”

Domenico

Instructor
Domenico is a junior at Lehman High School in Canton. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with math and mathematical reasoning, and his love for math only grows as he gets older. He also plays the trumpet for the McKinley marching band. Domenico says, "I like working at Mathnasium because all students should learn the importance of math!"

James

Instructor

James is a Senior at Early College @ Lehman, and a Stark State College student. He has always thought of math problems as fun puzzles with a satisfying picture when finished. His favorite class in high school was Physics, as it helped him understand how math ties into everyday events. In his spare time he likes to read the Bible, play tennis, and talk with friends. James says, "I enjoy working at Mathnasium because I get to see the joy in students' eyes when a math concept clicks!"

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
