As the Center Director, Alicia is passionate about helping students build confidence and a deep understanding of math. With a Masters in Education and a B.A. in English, she brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the learning environment. Alicia works closely with students, parents, and instructors to ensure every child receives a customized learning experience that fits their needs and goals. Whether your child is struggling with math or looking to get ahead, Alicia is here to make math make sense – and even fun!
Sadri is an instructor who is currently attending Normandale Community College, pursuing an Accounting Transfer Pathway associate degree. She is passionate about helping students strengthen their math skills and build confidence in their learning. Her favorite number is 5, and outside of teaching she enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to making math both fun and approachable for every student she works with.
Rosemary is an instructor who has worked at Mathnasium for almost a year. As a student, she enjoyed math, especially story problems. Currently, one of her professional responsibilities is training others. Her college degree is in Nursing. She comes from a large family and has a sweet kitty named Simba. Simba likes to hang out on Rosemary's math books.
Jamal Abukar brings a lifelong passion for numbers and problem-solving to the Mathnasium team.
Jamal's professional journey has always revolved around math. After earning his Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Management and an MBA from St. Mary's University , he has spent his career as a successful accountant. As the founder of his own firm, A+ Accounting , he uses math every day to help businesses make smart decisions, manage budgets, and plan for the future.
Hi favorate number is 8, becuase it looks so cool. Jamal believes that understanding math is a critical skill that builds confidence and opens up a world of possibilities. His goal at Mathnasium is to show students that math isn't just about homework—it's a tool they can use to build, create, and succeed in anything they choose to do. He looks forward to helping students have those "aha!" moments and grow into confident, capable problem-solvers.
Math has always been apart of Amy's life. She enjoys solving problems and getting to learn about the math behind everything. She chose Mathnasium because it allows her to share her passion with other children; letting them know that math is not hard and that she will always be here to make math feel easier for them.
