Laura

Center Director

Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Communication from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado. She is a licensed teacher and spent many years specializing in reading and math intervention for 5th graders.  Math has long been a favorite subject of hers, and she loves helping students gain skills and confidence in working with numbers!

She loves the puzzle that is math, and enjoys coming up with creative ways to make math concepts more tangible for young learners.  It is so exciting when something ‘clicks’ with a student!

Laura enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two elementary-aged children exploring the outdoors and the mountains.  When she’s not hiking or skiing, she loves to garden, play games, and do puzzles.
