Stuart and Lauren Stall are the dedicated owners and directors of Mathnasium of Buford and Athens. With over a decade of experience running Mathnasium centers, they are passionate about transforming students' lives through math.
Lauren holds a degree in Mathematics and taught Geometry and Calculus in Gwinnett County. Stuart has a background in education, specializing in supporting students with behavioral disorders and autism. Together, they create a caring and fun group environment where students feel confident and excited about learning math.
Aspen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in math and science, and she’s on track to earn her Master’s in Math Education in 2026.
She has been with Mathnasium of Buford for nearly five years and is passionate about helping students build lasting confidence. Aspen loves watching kids grow academically and personally. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, and reading. Her favorite part of Mathnasium is seeing the positive impact personalized learning has on each child’s success.
Julia is a freshman at the University of Georgia and was the valedictorian of Buford High School’s Class of 2024. She was active in marching band, student council, Mu Alpha Theta, and more.
She loves math for its logic and universality, and she especially enjoys sharing her passion with students at Mathnasium. Julia’s birthday is on Pi Day, and her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow in both attitude and skill. In the future, she hopes to study education, math, or both, and join a music program at UGA.
Eshaan is a standout student at Buford High School and active in Mu Alpha Theta and HOSA. He enjoys tennis and loves math for how it develops essential life skills and real-world problem-solving.
His favorite fun fact is the birthday paradox: “If there are 23 people in a room, there’s a 50% chance two share a birthday!” At Mathnasium, Eshaan appreciates the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to make math exciting and accessible for all students.
Taylor is a senior at Mountain View High School and a dedicated student leader. She is active in Mu Alpha Theta, NHS, Student Council, and plays for the Varsity Soccer Team.
Her favorite number is 32, and she enjoys reading, baking, and coloring in her free time. Taylor loves working at Mathnasium because it allows her to build relationships with students and help them find confidence in math through consistent support and encouragement.
Vrunda recently graduated for Buford High School and is headed to Georgia State University in the fall. During her time at BHS, she took an active roll in many groups such as MUAT ( Math Club ), HOSA, DECA, Buford Leadership Team, NHS, BETA club and Key club. Vrunda loves Mathnasium, because "[she] has always felt like it was a safe space for [her] to admit [her] struggles in math when [she] attended for 5 years. Now [she] am able to help other kids feel more confident in their math skills and give them what they need to succeed in the future. However, Mathnasium taught [her] much more than math, the people there and the center as a whole taught me how to be a whole hearted and well rounded person and to not give up when problems arise and get difficult. "
Jennifer graduated for Augusta University in 2022 and in her free time she enjoys powerlifting. She even competed in a powerlifting competition in USAPL federation in December 2024! She also gives back to the community by volunteering at The Pantry on the weekends. In 5 years, she plans to be graduating from Dental School and becoming a Dentist!
Minh has been a part of the Mathnasium since 2020! He started with us while he was in high school and was able to return after graduating from Georgia State University. We have loved having him back in Buford! He will be starting Dental school at the Dental College of Georgia, and in addition to being a Mathnasium Instructor he has also been working as Lead Dental Assistant at Periodontal Dental Clinic and a Volunteer Phlebotomist at a Community Medical Clinic. He loves Mathnasium, because "[he] loves how Mathnasium can positively change students’ perspectives on Math from disliking the subject to can’t wait to come to the center to learn and complete as many pages as possible."
Ruth is a Buford High School grad who enjoyed being a member of many clubs during her 4 years at BHS including: NHS Senior Executive, Beta Club, Writing Center Consultant, Buford Community Girls Chorus, Buford Leadership Team ! In her free time she enjoys dance, pottery, and playing piano. In 5 years she plans to be working as a registered nurse, and she loves Mathnasium because, "it encourages students to be curious. Learning the detailed concepts at Mathnasium helps students to build problem solving skills and become a better student!"
