Stef Millan
Center Director
Stef graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors of Science in Health Science. She has extensive experience in education, having worked in multiple school districts across Pomona Valley. Stef is passionate about creating a safe space for all students, especially those who are struggling, to help them reach their full potential. She joined Mathnasium so that she could help instill confidence in her students and ensure that they believe in themselves to succeed in whatever they put their minds to. In her free time Stef loves to read, watch soccer, and build legos. She also enjoys spending her days with her fiancé, her family, and her pets, Beckham and Mina.
Nick Van Vliet
Operations Director
Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Cal State Northridge and joined Mathnasium in 2014 after being inspired by its impact on students. He served as Center Director in Irvine for two years before taking on the role of Operations Director, now overseeing four centers including Diamond Bar.
Nick is committed to fostering an engaging and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, challenge themselves, and enjoy math. Outside of Mathnasium, Nick enjoys sports, snowboarding, BBQs, reading, and competing in just about any game you can think of.
Sherin Yueksel
District Manager
Sherin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She first started at Mathnasium as an instructor in 2021. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Director and even helped establish Mathnasium of Valencia. Sherin has pursued a career at Mathnasium because she wants to make an impact in her community and she wants to help as many students as possible. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable, confident, and can strive for excellence. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, shopping, and making new recipes.

Paul has a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and a MBA from the University of Houston. Paul is very passionate about teaching. He loves to connect with students of all ages and help them overcome math challenges through his knowledge and life examples. In his leisure time, Paul likes working out at the gym, travelling, researching cars, and spending time with family.

Natalie is a recent graduate from UC Riverside where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business. She enjoys helping students understand challenging topics and watching them grow more confident in math. In her free time, Natalie enjoys drawing illustrations, hanging out with friends, and watching tv shows.
Eric
Instructor
Eric is a current sophomore at Mt. SAC, he hopes to transfer to a 4 year university and pursue a career as a doctor. He originally attended Mathnasium as a student and later became an instructor so he could help contribute to the positive atmosphere and help students understand math. In his spare time, Eric enjoys baking, playing video games, and building lego models.
Shannon

Shannon is currently a Junior pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English at Cal Poly Pomona. She loves teaching kids and watching them grow as they become more confident with their skills. She cherishes making personal connections with the students to help create a safe place for them to feel understood and supported. She plans to get her teaching credentials and become a teacher. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, playing video games, and spending quality time with family.

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.

No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
