Pauline is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with over 15 years of experience using math and science in her work. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Minnesota and completed graduate coursework at the University of St. Thomas. Pauline understands how a strong foundation in math can shape a child’s future and open doors to exciting opportunities.
She and her husband, an electrical engineer, are raising two gifted children who love the Mathnasium experience. Pauline opened the Cottage Grove center to give back to her community and help local students build confidence and success in math.
Foster is a student at East Ridge High School, where he takes Calculus and advanced honors courses. With a strong love for math and an interest in teaching, he joined Mathnasium to share his enthusiasm and help others grow.
Outside the classroom, Foster is a competitive athlete on two mountain bike racing teams and the school’s alpine ski team. He is also an active member of Student Council and enjoys being involved in his school community.
Kai is a student at Mounds Park Academy where he excels in math, speech, and theater. A member of the school’s varsity speech team and a dedicated actor and singer, Kai brings strong communication skills and creativity to his role at Mathnasium.
Outside of school, Kai enjoys playing the flute, gaming, and spending time with friends. Through teaching at Mathnasium, he discovered a love for mentoring others while also overcoming social anxiety. He encourages students to believe in their abilities and enjoys watching them grow in both skill and confidence.
Brynna joins the Mathnasium instruction tearm after attending Mathnasium for more than four years as a student. Brynna plays Volleyball for East Ridge High School and Northern Lights. Brynna is one of the most favorite Mathnasium instructor among elementary school students.
Summer joins the Mathnasium instruction team after attending Mathnasium as a student for three years. She is strong in Algebra 1 and Geometry. Summer enjoys spending her time at Mathnasium helping kids to become stronger in particular areas of math that they may struggle in. She also tutors 6th graders in the morning during advisory at school, and even helps her younger siblings with their work as well. Along with that, she was the captain of her school’s volleyball team during the season. Overall, Summer enjoys spending time with others and helping them learn along the way!
Lydia is a junior at Hastings High School and was a Mathnasium student many years ago. Lydia is planning to go to River Falls University after high school for Elementary Education. Lydia is passionate about helping students to learm math in a way that make sense to them.
Miles is student at East Ridge high school with a strong passion for mathematics and a dedication to helping others succeed in the subject. Through out his school life, Miles has excelled in mathematics, consistently earning top grades in Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Miles is dedicated to make a difference in students’ mathematical journeys.
Jamy is a Mathnasium employee who is currently a rising junior at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She graduated head of her class summa cum laude at Park High School in Cottage Grove in 2024 with a GPA of 4.6, a full IB diploma, and a perfect ACT score of 36. At Gustavus, she studies political science pre-law with a minor in theatre and is anticipated to graduate in 2027, at which time she will attend law school and hopes to become a lawyer. Jamy has worked at Mathnasium since 2022 and is excited to connect with your child and help them succeed!
