Mila earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and worked as a Six Sigma Black Belt Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, using statistical analysis to optimize processes and profitability. She has spent the past decade as a math aide in her children’s elementary school, witnessing firsthand how small successes can rebuild a child’s confidence in math.
Inspired by Mathnasium’s approach, she knew she had to share it with her community. At home, math is a family affair—her husband, Michael, is also a Chemical Engineer, and her three kids, Declan, Anna, and Liam, all love math!
Emma is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Society, and Policy with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Utah. She has been part of Mathnasium since 2021 and finds great joy in helping students realize their potential. She believes that math can be both fun and empowering when taught in the right way.
Emma loves working with students and watching their confidence grow. She is passionate about making math more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In her free time Emma enjoys painting, printmaking, crocheting and other crafts.
Taylor is a recent graduate from Brigham Young University with a BS in Physics and Astronomy and a minor in Mathematics. He is enthusiastic about his interests and loves sharing that joy with others. In his free time, Taylor enjoys solving puzzles in many forms from jigsaw puzzles to playing Legend of Zelda.
Aaron is a junior at Skyline High School with a love for math—especially calculus. He enjoys breaking down complex concepts and helping students build a strong foundation in mathematics.
Outside of Mathnasium, Aaron spends his time reading, playing guitar, and watching basketball and football with his brothers. He is excited to help students gain confidence and enjoy learning math!
Adam is a mechanical engineering student at the University of Utah and will be starting his senior year this fall. He enjoys breaking down complex problems and helping others understand new subjects! Outside of Mathnasium, Adam likes to stay active through soccer and rock climbing, and he often unwinds by reading, watching shows, or working on outdoor projects. He also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen—especially when it comes to perfecting homemade Neapolitan pizza.
Alex is currently a junior at Olympus high school and will be taking AP calculus this year. He has really enjoyed math the past few years and wants to help kids succeed and love it, too. In his free time, he loves mountain biking, skiing, rock climbing, and being with friends and family.
Andrew is a senior at the University of Utah pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has a passion of teaching and being a positive influence to kids, and making math fun. Outside of work he loves being outside snowmobiling, mountain biking, jeeping, and golfing.
Brooklyn is currently a senior at Hillcrest High School. She loves the feeling of understanding a math concept and it clicking into place. She wants to help students feel this way at Mathnasium. While she isn't doing math, she loves to pole vault on her track team, rock climb, read, and play guitar.
Cash is currently a junior at Brighton High School. He is taking AP Calculus this year and plans on taking AP Physics next year. He loves working on long math problems and working with others to figure out the solution. When he isn’t at school or Mathnasium, he is participating in the marching band on the tenors or in the jazz band as the bassist.
CC is a Junior at Mountain Heights Academy, as is currently taking Math 1050. She has always enjoyed teaching others math, and loves seeing the joy those individuals have when they finally master something. When she's not at school, or working, she is playing soccer and hanging out with her two dogs.
Claire is a current senior at Hillcrest High School, and has dedicated much of her time to the performing arts department. When she’s not working in the auditorium, she loves to read, write, and craft. She has always loved helping her peers with their math homework during any downtime at rehearsals, and is excited to help math click in more kids' heads. She’s loved the AP Statistics class she took and the concurrent enrollment math class she’s currently in.
Dane is currently a junior at Brighton High School. He loves math and is in AP calculus this year. He loves running, playing soccer, and playing the piano. He is excited to teach math because he loves seeing the problem click in students heads.
Elise is currently a Junior at Hillcrest High School. Her favorite part of math is when a concept finally clicks in her brain, and she wants to share that feeling with others. She has a huge passion for technical theatre and loves how often math plays a part in it. When she isn't working on something in her school's auditorium, she enjoys painting, reading dystopian novels, and playing video games.
Harry is a current student at the University of Utah, studying computer science and game design. He has always loved math and finding the ways it connects to everyday life, and how concepts build upon each other. In his free time he enjoys playing video games, playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading, and finding the best coffee places around.
Jack is a junior at Olympus High School and has always loved math. He is currently in AP Statistics and will be taking AP Calculus next year. Jack is currently on the varsity baseball team, loves to ski, play golf, and play with his dog Bear.
Jack is a student at the University of Utah getting his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jack grew up teaching his peers and finds enjoyment in helping others discover and learn creative approaches to solving math problems. Outside of the classroom, Jack likes conducting research on hydrogels and bioadhesives in the BioMINTech lab at the University of Utah and loves skiing and anything outdoors related. Jack is excited to be apart of the team and helping students in the understanding of math.
Katie is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah with an emphasis in biomechanics. Her love for math began at a young age, inspired by a teacher who made every lesson fun and exciting. She’s passionate about helping students discover that same excitement and love for math. She also loves watching and playing basketball, her dog, Prince, and spending time with friends and family.
Koorosh is a student at the Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science. He is taking Calculus 2210 and 2250 this upcoming year, and has completed Calculus 1210 and 1220 from the University of Utah. He has a strong passion for math and strives to see others succeed. In his free time, Koorosh spends time with family and plays Rocket League.
Michael is an online student at BYU-I studying Software Development, hoping to get into more technical aspects of Computer Science. He's always had a passion for STEM fields and wants to help others find that passion as well. In his free time, he likes hiking, rock climbing, and playing games.
Mike is a senior at Skyline High School, he's planning to go to the University of Utah this fall to study games and simulation. He took AP Calculus in his junior year and he's currently preparing for two different physics exams: AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C: Mechanics. He has many hobbies including reading, creative writing, history, theater and music.
Nash is a Junior at Brighton High School. He enjoys seeing connections between math and the real world and wants to help everyone do the same. In his free time, Nash likes to play water polo, bake, and play strategy games.
Pramod is a senior at the University of Utah, majoring in Biology B.S. with an emphasis in Anatomy and Physiology. With a strong passion for math and science, he enjoys helping students discover how exciting and rewarding these subjects can be. He aims to take the MCAT and apply to medical school after graduation. Outside of academics, Pramod loves traveling, walking his dog, drawing, solving Rubik’s cubes, hiking, biking, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors.
Sam is a senior at Skyline High School who loves math, especially algebra. He excels at connecting with people and enjoys helping them build confidence in their math skills with patience and encouragement. Outside of Mathnasium, Sam spends his time mountain biking, writing stories, and playing basketball with friends. He’s excited to support students on their math journey and help them discover that learning can be fun and rewarding!
Spencer Bartholomew is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Masters in Mathematics, a Masters in Education, and a Bachelors in Statistics. He has worked in Higher Education for 24 years, teaching at Salt Lake Community College, Utah Valley University, and the University of Utah, as well as teaching for Jordan School District. He enjoys working with math students of all levels and backgrounds. He relates well with children through his educational experience and through interacting with 17 nieces and nephews.
