Ashley is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of East Vancouver. A lifelong Vancouver resident, she graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Math Education and Physics. Her passion for math began in high school and grew through college, where she discovered how rewarding it is to help others understand complex ideas.
Before opening her own center, Ashley worked for Mathnasium of North Beaverton as a Lead Instructor. She fell in love with the Mathnasium Method and is now proud to bring its impact to her hometown. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, painting, reading, and playing Minecraft.
Holly is the Center Director at Mathnasium of East Vancouver. Passionate about mathematics, statistics, and education, Holly began her journey with Mathnasium as an Instructor in Lakeland Highlands, where they saw firsthand how the Mathnasium Method can transform students’ confidence and understanding.
When Holly returned to Vancouver, they continued their mission of inspiring students through math education. Holly enjoys creating a welcoming learning space where every student can succeed. Outside of work, they love painting, listening to music, and collecting stickers.
Paige Howell is currently majoring in Digital Technology and Culture at WSUV! She loves math and finds joy in helping others build confidence and discover their potential through learning. Paige has been with East Vancouver Mathnasium for over 3 years!
At Mathnasium, Paige encourages students to see math as an exciting challenge rather than a chore. Her warmth and patience help students thrive at their own pace, and her favorite math to work on with students is Algebra 1. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, fiber arts, and playing Stardew Valley!
Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Portland State University in 2025. He has been a math educator for over seven years and enjoys teaching more than ever, especially at Mathnasium of East Vancouver. If he’s not teaching, or solving geometry problems, he might be climbing, playing guitar, or listening to French music. There’s nothing better than seeing students build skills for life through math!
Grant began teaching in 1984 in Chicago, Illinois, as a volunteer tutor in a small alternative school for students struggling to succeed in large public schools. After teaching both math and English, mainly to high school special education students in Illinois, Virginia, and Washington State, Grant retired in October of 2024. Since then, he has worked as a substitute teacher in the Evergreen School District and has especially enjoyed joining the Mathnasium teaching team!
Li is a senior at Union High School, and currently taking Calculus BC and Statistics. She plays the tenor saxophone in her school's wind and jazz bands, and is also a competitive dancer with the UHS dance team. She plans to attend a four year college to major in nursing, with a focus in NICU!
Miriam has loved math since kindergarten! Apart from her calculus homework, she enjoys playing piano, video gaming, and being part of her school's band. She has a very cute cat named Zephyr, which is a type of wind. She has also memorized 100 digits of pi!
Bryttani loves teaching and learning Iinear equations with her 5th grade daughter. She currently studies epidemics on metric graphs and numerical models at PSU with her mentor, Dr. Hannah Kravitz. Bryttani's educational background is in data science which is a mixture of math, statistics and computer science. Other than math, she enjoys thrifting and re-designing clothes and accessories.
Trey is a senior at Union High School, taking Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra for math this year at Clark College. He plays electric bass on his own time for fun, as well as pursuing joy through cooking. He is planning to attend a four year college for mathematics or biomedical engineering.
Anisha is a senior at Camas High School. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing and spending time doing art, especially drawing. Sge also has two dogs who she absolutely loves and who are a big part of her life. In her free time, she loves hanging out and spending time with friends!
Gabrielle is currently a Sophomore at Camas HS. While she loves all of her classes, her favorite is calculus. She enjoys baking, reading, and babysitting in her free time, and she plays the flute in the CHS band.
Hey I'm Liam Choi, I love to pick up weird little hobbies that are fun but the most important one I picked up is math! I've picked up Rubik's cubing, yoyoing, pen spinning and so much more but math is one thing I've always loved and appreciated. It's something that I hope I can spread to everyone because it gives me joy!
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
