Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Katie

Assistant Director
Katie Brungard is the Assistant Director at Mathnasium and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She brings a passion for making students feel welcome and helping them to build confidence in their math ability. Outside of work, Katie likes to read, crochet, and play with her dogs.

Katie's favorite number is 23 because it is the day of both her and her dad's birthday (which they share!). She also loves math jokes, and her current favorite is "I just watched a pirated movie. It got 3.14 stars." She is especially fascinated by the “birthday paradox”, which says that you only need a group of 23 people for the chance of 2 people having the same birthday to be more than 50%.

Christina also has a great sense of humor and loves the joke: “You know what seems odd to me? Numbers that can’t be divided by 2!” She’s passionate about helping students grow in both knowledge and confidence.
