Dylan is a former Engineering Apprentice with the U.S. Air Force and has completed calculus coursework at both the high school and college level. He plans to finish his degree in computer science at the University of Arizona.
Known for his supportive nature, Dylan has always helped classmates overcome math struggles and loves seeing those “aha!” moments. His favorite math joke? “Why should you be cautious around a math teacher with graphing paper? They're definitely plotting something!” Outside of work, Dylan enjoys running, hiking, and staying active. He competed in track and cross-country for six years.
Calvin is a high school senior who has already completed college-level math courses. With experience tutoring and teaching, he excels at breaking down difficult concepts for students of all ages.
He loves helping students gain confidence and build strong math foundations. Outside of Mathnasium, Calvin is a skilled coder and applies mathematical thinking to programming. His favorite math joke is: “Why did the student do multiplication problems on the floor? The teacher said they needed to practice doing them without tables!”
Mandy brings more than ten years of experience with Mathnasium and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University–Idaho.
She’s passionate about helping students learn and thrive, especially when they discover new ways to approach math problems. Mandy loves working with children and creates a positive, encouraging environment in every session. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and working on genealogy. Fun fact: she’s kissed the Blarney Stone!
Nathan is a junior at Arizona State University, double majoring in Data Science and Biological Sciences. He’s taken advanced math courses including Calculus III, Linear Algebra, and Statistics, and enjoys applying math to genetics and research.
He’s passionate about helping students tackle tough problems and experience the excitement of learning something new. His favorite math joke is: “Parallel lines have so much in common… it’s a shame they’ll never meet.” In his free time, Nathan enjoys baking, crocheting, and listening to music.
Otoño is a senior at Gilbert High School and plans to study Manufacturing Systems at Arizona State University. Passionate about problem-solving, he believes math is the key to finding efficient solutions, especially in engineering and game design.
A longtime Minecraft fan, his love of modding inspired his academic path. His favorite math joke? “Can an English major simplify the reciprocal of sine? Cosecant! (‘Course he can’t!)” Fun fact: Otoño means “autumn” in Spanish!
