Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Faizan

Instructor

Faizan is a college sophomore studying Health Sciences on the pre-dental track. His favorite subject is Geometry, which he enjoys for the way it combines logic, shapes, and problem-solving theorems. At Mathnasium, he brings patience and positivity to every lesson, helping students build confidence in their abilities.

He is especially motivated by the joy of seeing students grasp concepts that once felt out of reach. In his free time, Faizan enjoys staying active, especially by playing soccer with friends. His energy and encouraging spirit make math feel approachable and fun.

Ian

Instructor

Ian is a junior at St. Francis High School, where he is enrolled in AP Calculus BC. A dedicated member of the math team, he recently earned first place in a local competition. He enjoys sharing that same excitement with students at Mathnasium, helping them discover their own strengths and problem-solving skills.

Outside the classroom, Ian runs Cross Country and Track and volunteers with the Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center. His mix of focus, enthusiasm, and encouragement helps students feel supported as they work through challenges and celebrate new milestones.

Simona

Instructor

Simona is a senior at Glenbard South High School and will attend the University of Notre Dame this fall to pursue STEM studies. She has a deep love of math and a natural gift for making concepts clear and approachable. At Mathnasium, she enjoys inspiring students to embrace challenges and reach their fullest potential.

In addition to her passion for teaching, Simona volunteers in the NICU at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and serves as editor-in-chief of her school newspaper. Her dedication, creativity, and care make her a positive role model for students.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
