Entela

Center Director

Entela brings over a decade of tutoring experience, working with students from grade school through college. She holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Education, giving her a strong foundation in subjects like Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and beyond. 

Fluent in Albanian and Greek, Entela connects easily with diverse learners. She loves helping students discover the magic of math and seeing their confidence grow. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and swimming. Her favorite number is 9 because of its unique mathematical pattern, and her favorite math joke is: “Where do math teachers go on vacation? To Times Square!”

Axel

Instructor

Axel graduated from Goshen High School in 2024 and is studying Computer Science at SUNY Orange. He plans to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering. 

He joined Mathnasium because he enjoys helping students find joy in math. In his free time, Axel loves drawing, painting, and playing video games. His favorite food is sushi, and his favorite number is e, the lesser-known yet fascinating irrational number that he believes deserves as much attention as π. 

Taylor

Instructor

Taylor is a seasoned and well-loved instructor at Mathnasium. She is a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Communication Disorders and working toward becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist. Taylor enjoys helping elementary students build confidence in math and guiding them through the Mathnasium Method. Her favorite number is 25, and she is passionate about teaching, problem-solving, and understanding how children learn

Gwen

Instructor

Gwen is a well-loved instructor at Mathnasium and a senior at Goshen High School. She is actively involved in the drama club and brings knowledge, compassion, and clear instruction to her work with students. Gwen especially enjoys supporting younger students who have historically found math challenging, helping them build understanding and confidence.

Arnav

Instructor

Arnav is a student at Warwick Valley High School who brings enthusiasm for math to Mathnasium. His favorite number is 11, and he is actively involved in several academic organizations, including Mu Alpha Theta (the math honor society), the FTC Robotics Team, and the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership alumni network. Through Mu Alpha Theta, Arnav has gained experience tutoring other students and enjoys helping them grow in confidence and understanding. He plans to pursue a degree in Computer Hardware Engineering and values the opportunity at Mathnasium to support students while seeing their progress and development in real time.

Arquimedes

Instructor

Arquimedes studies at SUNY New Paltz, where he is currently a senior majoring in accounting. He brings a strong passion for math and mentorship to Mathnasium, and his favorite number is 7. Arquimedes enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for problem-solving while helping students build confidence in their math skills. He chose to work at Mathnasium because he loves supporting students as they grow academically and personally. Outside of academics, Arquimedes enjoys playing intramural basketball for fun.

Mia

Instructor

Mia is a math major at Mount Saint Mary College who brings positivity and clarity to every session. She has a talent for explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way, making math approachable and enjoyable for students. Her favorite number is 7, and she has a strong passion for mathematics. Mia became an instructor because she loves math and hopes to become a math teacher in the future. Mathnasium is a perfect fit for her, as it allows her to help students learn and enjoy math while gaining valuable teaching experience.

Sebastian

Sebastian is an instructor at Mathnasium and a student at Mount Saint Mary College. His favorite number is 17, and he enjoys finding efficient ways to solve math problems. Sebastian became an instructor because he loves helping students build both their skills and confidence while learning to approach math more effectively.

Lindsey

Instructor

Lindsey is a senior at Valley Central High School and a highly accomplished student leader. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society, and serves as President of the Business Honor Society. Lindsey will be attending the Isenberg School of Business at UMass Amherst, where she plans to study Marketing and Psychology.

Outside of school, Lindsey enjoys dancing, singing, and acting, and is a proud member of the Senior Dance Company at Thrive Dance Studio. Lindsey loves Mathnasium because it allows students to learn at their own pace while building confidence in their math skills. Her favorite math joke is, “I saw my math teacher with graph paper—she must be plotting something!”
