Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Aldin O.

Instructor
Aldin is a rising senior at Norwell High School, taking a special interest in math, statistics, and computer science. He has always found a love for math in school, and has started to explore math outside of school with the start of high school. Aldin often helps his friends with their math classes, as well as chemistry and physics topics. Besides math, Aldin enjoys Concert performance, playing flute and alto saxophone, and classics, and is enrolled in AP Latin. He is a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Matt B.

Instructor
Matt is a rising senior at Hanover High School where he has excelled in all math courses through AP Precalculus, which he is taking now. At Hanover High, Matt is a member of the Math team and the president of the Board Game Club, so he is passionate about both math and game time. Ever since he was young, he has had a love for math; at Mathnasium, he hopes to pass on this love and inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and analytical thinkers. Outside of that, Matt plays soccer and rugby for his school. If he's not here at Mathnasium, he's probably somewhere listening to music.

Long N.

Instructor
Having graduated in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Long had experience in the IT world as a software developer. He always had math as one of his favorite subjects in school and sometimes uses his spare time on continuing learning math and computer science. He had helped friends and family with learning STEM related topics. Outside of Mathnasium, he likes reading comics or taking long walks with his dog.

Ben W.

Lead Instructor/Team Lead
Ben is a rising junior at Northeastern University majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy. In high school, he focused on solving integrals, preparing him for integration contests. Now, he specializes in game theory, deductive logic, and statistics. Ben was previously a teaching assistant at Northeastern. He enjoys fostering students’ curiosity by encouraging them to ask questions. Every question is a good question--asking questions is learning! At Mathnasium, Ben hopes to cultivate a deep understanding in students, so that they feel like they can tackle any problem, even without ‘necessary’ formulas. Outside of math, he focuses on memory training, trying to memorize as many random words as possible in 60 seconds–a seemingly dull, yet fun task!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
