Our convenient location makes it easy for families in NW DC—especially those in the Kalorama and Dupont Circle neighborhoods—to attend regularly.

    Yes. Mathnasium of Kalorama provides both in-center and online tutoring. All students—whether attending online or in person—receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment.

  • Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

    No. Online sessions provide the same quality instruction, personalized learning plans, and real-time support that students experience at our learning center. Both formats deliver face-to-face instruction and a collaborative group environment.

    Building upon what the student already knows, we add new concepts gradually, breaking them down into manageable steps to help them fill in their knowledge gaps, develop solid foundational skills, and even transform how they think and feel about math.

  • Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

    Yes. We work with students at all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

    Students who are struggling benefit from targeted instruction focused on building confidence, filling in foundational gaps, and developing foundational skills. Advanced students receive personalized challenges that deepen their understanding and extend their skills.

  • Do you work with homeschooled students in Kalorama?

    Yes. We support K–12 students from all educational settings, including homeschool, private, and public school families throughout Kalorama, Dupont Circle, and the surrounding NW DC area.

  • Do you help students with their math homework?

    Yes. Our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school.

  • Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

    No. We do not assign homework. All instruction happens during our structured sessions with specially trained tutors, allowing students to focus on making real progress while they are with us.
