Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Breezy Chisholm

Regional Director

I have taken math classes through Calculus 1, in addition to Statistics. I also took Math 4010 and Math 4020 which specializes in learning how to teach the foundational math concepts. I have played several sports throughout my lifetime but Tennis is the one I continued with through College. In high school I won state all 4 years and then I went on to play D1 tennis at the University of Utah. My senior season I was named PAC 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year! In college I worked at Mathnasium as an instructor where I fell in love with teaching math. I then graduated and went on to teach 7th-9th grade math for 2 years. I missed the Mathnasium environment and was very excited to have an opportunity to come back! I love playing pickleball, hanging out with my family and baking cakes.

Fun Fact: I have 3 kids

Favorite Number, Why?: 4. It has always been my lucky jersey number.

Education: I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Elementary Education and another degree in Child Development. I also have a minor degree in Sociology.

Why I Like Mathnasium: I love working at Mathnasium because our curriculum and processes give every student a chance to be their very best selves. We create an environment that encourages learning while having fun. I love seeing the growth of all our students and seeing the confidence that comes from the individualized instruction.

I took AP Calc in High school and tested into Calculus 1 my first year in College. I played tennis in High School, I am an Eagle Scout, and I Served a full-time mission for my church in England! I worked at Camp Keisel (a Cub Scout camp) and taught everything from first aid to archery and geology. I do origami, and I love to learn about airplanes.

Fun Fact: I speak Russian

Favorite Number: π (pi) because I sat next to a poster of pi in 7th grade and memorized the first 30 digits!

Education: I am a freshman at Utah State University studying Aerospace Engineering. I graduated from Box Elder High School in 2021.

Why I love Mathnasium: I like working with other people, and I like fulfilling work.

Marissa Morgan

Instructor

I took AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics with Calculus in high school. In AP Physics, there were only four of us enrolled in the class, so we always studied together and became good friends! In college, I took Physics for Engineers, Multivariable Calculus, and Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. I was an active member of the math clubs for all of my time at Westlake High School and Cedar Valley high school. As a club, we traveled to math competitions and planned teamwork activites every week! During my sophmore year, I was one of two students selected from my school to attend the week-long Park City Math Institute trip for high schoolers. I always enjoy learning, but that trip was the most fun I ever had studying math! I recieved a Presidential Scholarship to Utah State University for my high ACT score and GPA. I was officially a peer math tutor for one of my years in junior high. I also volunteered to tutor students in ACT math practice problems while I was in high school. Beyond that, I have always been the friend my friends came to for help in school, especially for math and science. I love learning math that applies to engineering and science. I also love to read, play board games, go on walks, and explore the city.

Fun Fact: I once read 52 books in one year!

Favorite Number, Why?: 11, because it is a palindrome, a prime, and it makes the rating 11/10!

Education: I am currently a senior at Utah State University studying mechanical and aerospace engineering.

Why I like Mathnasium: I love math and learning in general, and I think all kids deserve the confidence that they can learn and do great things. Math is like another language that can unlock so much about our world, and I just hope I can help translate it.

Instructor

During high school, I participated in AP Calculus and absolutely LOVED it! My teacher was incredible and showed me how inspiring, useful, and beautiful math can be. Later, while attending school at Utah State, I increased my understanding and appreciation of mathematics through taking Calculus 2, Calculus 3, STATS for Scientists, and Linear Algebra. Incredible professors continued to inspire me and push me to think more critically about the questions that surround us every day. One of my most favorite things about life is music... and one of the activities that has fostered this appreciation was my participation in the Green Canyon Marching Band (I play the flute:)). I was able to meet so many incredible people, make unforgettable memories, and learn how to discipline myself to do something difficult yet beautiful, all at the same time. I am still part of a community band to this day:) Additionally, I participated in religious service within the state of Wisconsin, where I met some fantastic people and learned how to speak Spanish. ;) Some of my favorite things to do include: playing the piano, eating chocolate, gardening, hiking, baking sooooo many cookies, reading a good book, laughing with my family and puzzling over new math problems!

Fun Fact: One fun fact about myself is that I LOVE to dance in the rain... if you haven't tried it, you totally should! (with or without an umbrella:)).

Favorite Number, Why?: My favorite number is 18... it seems to come up as my lucky number quite often :), but is also a beautifully even number and corresponds with my birthday:)!

Education: I am currently a sophomore at Utah State University and am pursuing a degree in Math/STATS Composite Education. So far, I love it!

Why I Like Mathnasium: I am extremely excited to be working at Mathnasium! One of the most essential skills for citizens of today's society to acquire is the ability to problem solve. Math is one of the subjects that enhances one's problem solving skills the very most, and I love the look that students get in their eyes and the confidence that they find within their person when they master a new skill or solve a new problem. I want to help students feel heard in their math struggles, but also seen in their ever-present ability to solve whatever problem is thrown at them. :)

Instructor

My favourite math classes I've taken were probably Continuous-Time Systems, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations. I used to tutor Calculus 1 students at both USU and my highschool, AISU. I've been teaching math since I was in 3rd grade, when I outpaced my fellow students in math far enough that my school (Realms of Inquiry) had me teach 1st grade math instead of learn new material. I also used to work at Cache Makers, where I wrote and taught weeklong classes on topics like math, programming, robotics, and circuitry.  like music! I'm a very strong singer (vocal range D2-A4), but most of the music I listen to is either rock or electronic. I also enjoy game design, and pursue it through making puzzles, playing dungeons and dragons (as the DM), and making custom levels for various videogames. My favourite video games are Halo and Portal.

Fun Fact: Three out of four of my limbs have metal plates inside them holding the bones together.

Favorite Number, Why?: I'm fond of 24, because its ratio of integer-factors-to-magnitude is unusually high.

Education: I got my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from USU in 2025. I hope to teach college math one day, and therefore, I intend to pursue further education.

Why I Like Mathnasium: Like I said, if I could do anything with my life, I'd teach math. Mathnasium is a great way for me to do some teaching while also pursuing my own career.
