Daniel is the Deputy Director and Co-Owner of Mathnasium of Long Island City. A data scientist by trade, he holds a Master’s in Finance Analytics and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering with a Minor in Math from the University of Michigan. Daniel’s professional experience includes work with companies like Deloitte and GM Financial, but his passion lies in education and helping kids succeed.
As a father of two, he’s committed to making math approachable and empowering, guiding students to build confidence through caring, personalized support.
Brillie is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Long Island City. With degrees in Finance and Data Analytics from Indiana University and the University of Michigan, she’s seen firsthand how powerful math is in solving real-world problems.
A passionate advocate for STEM education—especially for young girls—Brillie brings both professional experience and a mother’s perspective to the center. Her goal is to create a supportive space where students feel confident, curious, and excited to learn math in a way that makes sense and sparks joy.
Jan is the Assistant Center Director of Mathnasium of Long Island City. He holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology. Jan has an extensive tenure in the line of work of Mathnasium dating back six years and counting, having taught & helped numerous communities over the years.
His professional experience extends to the classroom, having taught as a long-term substitute at a local high school, further cementing Jan's role & passion for education, teaching, and inspiring future generations of students.
With his valuable experience, Jan is committed to continuing to make math approachable and empowering to students through Mathnasium to help instill & reinforce a sense of confidence, understanding, and mastery for mathematics.
