Patricia Surman and Reiner Krämer are the proud owners of Mathnasium of Longmont. They’re passionate about helping students develop a deep understanding of math in a caring and fun group environment. Hello! My name is Laura Topper and I am the Center Director at Mathnasium of Longmont. I am a licensed teacher and spent many years specializing in math intervention at the elementary school level. I am so excited to help build a successful future for your child here at our center!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, puzzles, games, reading, and spending time with my two elementary-aged children.
Zach is a Computer Science graduate from Eastern Illinois University and a former Mathnasium instructor in Illinois. He enjoys helping students experience the “aha” moment when math makes sense.
His hobbies include programming, astronomy, playing guitar, and video games. Zach brings both technical skills and a warm teaching style to every session, making learning math exciting and accessible.
Greg received a B.S. in Applied Physics from Cal State University San Marcos. In his time off, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and spending time outside. He enjoys teaching because he likes helping students find the joy and empowerment in understanding math!
Ayden is a student at CU Boulder studying Applied Math. In his time off, he enjoys playing video games. His favorite number is 'e' because of all its properties in calculus. He enjoys teaching because he wants everyone to be able to experience the beauty of math!
Jenny is a student at CU Boulder, and in her free time she enjoys playing chess and reading. Her favorite number is the square root of -1. Her favorite parts of teaching are getting to see the moment that a student "gets" a concept, and sharing her love of math!
Troy has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and in his free time he enjoys playing tabletop games, listening to live music, and watching Anime. His favorite number is the square root of pi, because it comes up in some interesting integrals. He enjoys teaching because he likes watching students light up as they make a connection or solve a challenging problem!
