• Does Mathnasium of Marina Del Rey offer online tutoring?

  Yes, we provide both in-center and online tutoring. Students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction in a supportive and engaging group environment, whether they attend sessions in person or remotely.

• Is the online learning experience different from in-person sessions?

  No. Students who attend online receive the same high-quality instruction, customized learning plans, and tutor interaction as they would in-center.  

  Our online program is designed to be just as effective and engaging as our in-person sessions.

• What grade levels and math topics do you support?

  We help students in grades K–12 master any math class or topic, from basic arithmetic to Algebra, Geometry, and advanced high school coursework.

• How much does math tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Marina Del Rey?

  Mathnasium of Marina Del Rey offers premium value tutoring through a flat-rate monthly membership with no long-term commitment.  

  Most students benefit from visiting the center two to three times per week. During the initial assessment, we’ll help determine the right learning plan for your child.

• Is there a price difference between online and in-center tutoring?

  No. The membership fee is the same whether your child attends in person, online, or a combination of both.

• Why do students complete an assessment before enrolling?

  Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skill level and pinpoint areas for growth. Using assessment-based insights, we create a learning plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.

• How do you teach math? What is the Mathnasium Method™?

  At Mathnasium, we do not follow standard curricula. We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines customized learning plans with proven techniques to help students make sense of math.  

  Following the Mathnasium Method™, we build on what students already know, introduce new concepts in manageable steps, and support them in developing strong foundational skills. This approach also fosters critical thinking and confidence, both in and out of the classroom.

• Do you work with students who are behind or advanced in math?

  Yes. We support students of all skill levels, whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.  

  Students who are struggling in class benefit from personalized instruction and targeted support. Advanced students are offered enrichment programs that challenge their thinking and deepen their understanding of math.

• Do you support homeschooled students in the Marina Del Rey area?

  Absolutely! We work with students from a variety of educational backgrounds, including homeschool, public, and private school communities throughout Marina Del Rey and Venice.

• Can students get help with their school math homework?

  Yes. During each session, we will set aside time to assist students with their school math assignments and make sure they understand the material they're currently covering.

• Do students receive extra homework from Mathnasium?

  No, all instruction and practice take place during sessions at the center or online. We do not assign additional homework outside of our structured sessions.

• Do you help students prepare for standardized tests?

  Yes! We provide support for standardized test preparation, including ACT®, SAT®, and state assessments. Our test prep program includes personalized learning plans, focused practice, and effective strategies to improve both skill and confidence.
