I love working at Mathnasium because I enjoy helping students grow and develop their skills in math—a subject I am passionate about. I know what it feels like to struggle in math and it is super rewarding to help students feel confident

Parker

Instructor

Hi, my name is Parker. I graduated from UCSD and have been a life long fan of math & problem solving. In my free time, I enjoy board games, video games, karaoke with friends, and cooking delicious food from around the globe. My favorite part of working at Mathnasium is getting to see students have those "aha!" moments learning new concepts and building confidence in themselves as mathematical thinkers and problem solvers!

Boren

Instructor

Hello! My name is Boren, and starting this September I will be a second-year Applied Mathematics major at UCLA. I’ve been passionate about teaching math since my freshman year of high school, and over the years I’ve taught a wide range of topics across different areas of mathematics.

Outside of academics, I enjoy reading Chinese science fiction and war-themed novels, as well as playing strategy and puzzle-solving games. Most of all, I love helping students understand new concepts and seeing that “aha” moment—it’s one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

Shon

Instructor

Hi, my name is Shon! I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering at SMC. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, making music, and programming. I’m also an instructor at Mathnasium, and I truly love what I do! It’s incredibly rewarding to watch students grow, not only in their math skills but also in their confidence. Math can be challenging, but helping students overcome those hurdles and realize their own potential is what makes every day exciting. Each student brings their own unique strengths and perspectives, which keeps my work both meaningful and inspiring. Working at Mathnasium allows me to strengthen my own skills, deepen my passion for math, and share that enthusiasm with others!
