Collin

Senior Lead Instructor

Collin is a senior at UW–Milwaukee pursuing a degree in education. He enjoys swimming, going to amusement parks, and spending time with family and friends. 

As a former Mathnasium student, Collin is excited to now serve as a Senior Lead Instructor. He loves helping kids understand difficult concepts, making math enjoyable, and watching their confidence grow. Collin’s favorite math joke: I saw my math teacher with a piece of graph paper — I think they must be plotting something. 

Brooklyn

Lead Instructor

Brooklyn is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School and a member of the STEM Academy in the engineering strand. She enjoys math and science, along with reading, volleyball, and time with family and friends. 

As a Lead Instructor, Brooklyn is passionate about helping students improve their math skills and hopes to inspire them to appreciate math a little more each day. Brooklyn’s favorite math joke: What did the acorn say when it grew up? Ge-om-e-try (gee, I’m a tree). 

Sarah

Lead Instructor

Sarah is a junior at Menomonee Falls High School, where she participates in basketball, cross country, and track. Her favorite subject is math, and she is a member of the STEM Academy. 

She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for learning with students and finds fulfillment in helping them grow their skills and confidence at Mathnasium. Sarah’s favorite math joke: Why is it sad that parallel lines have so much in common? Because they will never meet. 

Addi

Lead Instructor

Addi is a junior at Germantown High School who enjoys both math and music. She is part of the Germantown marching band and also competes on the cross country and track teams. 

Dedicated to giving back, Addi volunteers with her church and enjoys encouraging younger students. At Mathnasium, she loves supporting kids as they strengthen their math understanding. Addi’s favorite math joke: What did the acorn say when it grew up? Ge-om-e-try (gee, I’m a tree). 

Robin

Lead Instructor

Robin is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoys doing math and is currently taking Geometry in school. She is a part of her Schools Key club. Outside of school, Robin loves performing in choirs, and musicals with Musical Masquers and First Stage. She also loves reading, baking and playing instruments. Robin plays Flute, Tenor Saxophone, and Piano. She enjoys working with children, because she loves their playful and open spirits! Robin's favorite math joke: Why did the obtuse angle go to the beach? A: Because it was over 90 degrees!

Mike

Instructor

Mike graduated from UW-Milwaukee with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics. He retired from the Milwaukee Public Schools where he taught secondary math for over thirty years. He also spent five years as a mathematics lecturer at UW-Waukesha. Mike's favorite math joke: There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

MJ

Instructor

Mary Jean earned her BS degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics at UW-Milwaukee in 1988. She has been teaching children mathematics for many years, mainly at the middle school level. She loves helping students better comprehend math, and especially enjoys seeing when the "light bulb" of understanding shows on their faces. MJ's favorite math joke: What's the best place to do math homework? A: On a multiplication table

Sophie

Instructor

Sophie is a junior at UW-Madison majoring in neurobiology and genetics. She enjoys math and science and has completed several advanced math and science classes. In her free time, Sophie loves reading, working out, watching Disney movies, playing with her dogs and completing puzzles. She enjoys working with children, helping them learn and grow, specifically in areas involving math and science. Sophie’s favorite math joke: What happened to the plant in math class? A: It grew square roots.

Grace

Instructor

Grace is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she will major in Psychology and Spanish. She is passionate about STEM learning and has taken many advanced math classes. In school, Grace is involved in Spanish club, National and Spanish Honor Society, Math Club, Mock Trial, and cross country. Some of her other interests include running, reading, spending time with friends and family, baking, and doing yoga. She is interested in pursuing clinical child psychology and loves working with children to help them succeed. Grace's favorite math joke: What did the calculator say to the student? A: You can always COUNT on me!

Ella

Instructor

Ella is a freshman at UW-Madison majoring in biology. She hopes to become a doctor one day. Ella loves science and math. Also, she enjoys being outside and hanging out with friends. She is so happy to be a part of the Mathnasium team! Ella's favorite math joke is: Why should you never argue with a 90 degree angle? A: It will always be right

Kyle

Instructor

Kyle is a student at Kansas University majoring in business analytics. Math has been his favorite subject and he has taken advanced classes in math and other classes. He also volunteers at Menomonee Falls senior center for technology assistance. He has 5 younger siblings and enjoy working with kids to help them learn. Kyle's favorite math joke: Why is the equal sign so humble? A: Because its not < OR > than anybody.

Riya

Instructor

Riya is a freshman at Rice University. Her interest in math sparked early in 7th grade as she practiced challenging algebra problems. She is vary passionate about environmental science and food security research. Outside of the academic world, Riya enjoys performing Indian traditional dance, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. Riya's favorite math joke: You know what's odd to me? A: Numbers that cannot be divided by 2.

Sangeetha

Instructor

Sangeetha is an accomplished Electronics Engineer and IT professional, currently contributing her expertise to a healthcare firm. She is also a certified Abacus (Mental Math) instructor. In her leisure time, Sangeetha enjoys engaging with children and participating in volunteer activities. She cherishes moments with her family, loves reading, and is always eager to learn new skills. Sangeetha's favorite math joke: Why was the equal sign so humble?  Because it knew it wasn’t less than or greater than anyone else!

Bhavneet

Instructor

Bhavneet is a student at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoy math and science, specifically biology. She is part of HOSA and student council. Outside of school, Bhavneet enjoy reading, dancing and working out. She likes working with kids and helping them understand topics they aren't 100% confident in. Bhavneet's favorite math joke: Have you heard of the hen who counted her eggs? A: She was a mathemachicken!

Joselyn

Instructor

Joselyn is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. Her favorite school subjects are science and math, and she enjoys learning new things. She is a member of HOSA, FBLA, Women of Will, the golf team, and the soccer team at her school. Outside of school, Joselyn enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, drawing, playing sports, and painting. She enjoys helping others while also meeting new people along the way. Joselyn's favorite math joke: Do you know why the two 4s didn’t go to the cafeteria for lunch? A: They already 8!

Asirah

Instructor

Asirah is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoys science and math, and hopes to pursue biochemistry in college. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, watching movies that challenge her perspective, listening to music, and playing the cello in her school’s orchestra. She also likes spending time with her family, and always makes time for them when she can.  She’s excited to support students and sharpen her own skills along the way. Kayley

Kayley is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School. She has always enjoyed studying math and problem solving. She is also part of her school's math team. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and being a part of the track and cross country teams at school. She loves helping other people and working with kids to help them learn and be successful. Kayley's favorite math joke: Why should you never talk to Pi? A: Because she'll go on and on forever.

Yuktha

Yuktha is an incoming sophomore at Hamilton High School. She has consistently taken advanced math classes and has a strong passion for math and science. She enjoys working with kids and problem-solving. She also participates in her schools DECA and HOSA clubs. Outside of school, Yuktha does Indian classical dance, tennis, and spending time with friends. Yuktha's favorite math joke: Why was the obtuse angle always at the beach? Nora

Instructor

Nora is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. She loves math and has been and continues to be in advance math classes in her high school journey. She enjoys science and english as well. She is a part of the tennis girls team for her school, along with other clubs. Outside of school, Nora loves to bake, read, volunteer, and play instruments. She enjoys working with kids to grow a bond with them while helping them with something that's troubling them. Nora's favorite math joke: I had a argument with a 90° angle. It turns out, it was right.

Loreli

Instructor

Loreli is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. She likes math and enjoys helping others learn more math skills. In her free time, she plays volleyball, reads books, and rides horses. Loreli loves helping to teach kids math and she encourages them to keep going on their math journey. Loreli's favorite math joke: Why shouldn’t you argue with a decimal? Because they always have a good point!

Megan

Instructor

Megan is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. She has a strong passion for math and taken advanced math since elementary school. Megan is actively involved in her school's HOSA chapter, where she competes at the state and national levels. She also serves as a class officer and is a member of student council. Outside of school, Megan enjoys reading, running, hiking and plays soccer. She enjoys helping people learn to love math and not be scared of it! Megan's favorite math joke: What did 0 say to 8? A: Nice Belt!

Cash

Instructor

Cash is a sophomore at Menomonee Falls High School. He enjoys math and has been involved in his middle schools and high schools advanced math program. He also participates in the high schools FBLA program. Outside of school Cash enjoys football, track, and golf. He enjoys working with children to see them succeed in their goals for math or anything else.

Rahet

Instructor

Rahet is a junior at Hamilton High School. She enjoys doing math and is taking pre calc this school year. She is involved in many clubs and extracurriculars. Outside of school, she enjoys sewing, doing anything artsy, and hanging out with friends. Rahet is excited to join the Mathnasium team! Lexi

Lexi is a sophomore at UW-Madison pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. She has a strong passion for math and science, and participates on a club dance team in college. In her free time, she loves to stay active and spend time with friends and family. Lexi's favorite math joke: Parallel lines have so much in common...It's a shame they'll never meet.

Ella

Ella is a senior at Germantown High school. She enjoys writing and psychology and takes many advanced classes. She participates in school cross country. Outside of school Ella enjoys reading, hiking, running, and going out with friends. She enjoys working with kids becuase she needed help with math too.

Shaanvi

Shaanvi is a junior at Hamilton High School with a strong interest in STEM. She is an active member of her school’s robotics team, where she enjoys making an impact through outreach and community involvement. Outside of school, Shaanvi loves reading, practicing Indian classical dance, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.
