Tina is double-majoring in Mathematics B.S. and Adolescent Math Education 7-12 B.S. with Students with Disabilities at Long Island University Post. She has been tutoring for over four years in middle and high school mathematics. Apart from the kids, once of her favorite parts about working at Mathnasium is having the freedom to express creativity to encourage an appreciation for math. She is also the Director of Fun at Mathnasium. Her favorite math joke - What do you call friends who love math? Algebros!
Ishani went to Bronx Science for High School and attends Hofstra, where she majors in Psychology and minors in Neuroscience. Ishani has been working at Mathnasium for over a year. The thing that she enjoys most about tutoring is creating a safe space for students where they feel like they can ask for help. She likes to create art and spend time with her cats in her free time. Ishani's favorite joke - Are vampires good at math? Only one, Count Dracula!
Cole attends Long Island University. He is studying Mathematics and Adolescent Education in Mathematics. He has been working at Mathnasium since 2023. He enjoys working with students to help them understand and enjoy math. In his free time, he runs and is a part of the track and field and cross country team at LIU. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. His favorite math joke - Why did the obtuse angle go the beach? Because it was more than 90 degrees.
Samridhi attended Brooklyn Technical High School for grades 9-12. She is a student at Stony Brook University majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Business Management. She tutored fellow students in high school and taught classes in different subjects as a summer camp volunteer. Samridhi enjoys reading and dancing in her free time. Her favorite math joke - What did the triangle say to the circle? You're pointless.
Carmela is a high school student at New Hyde Park Memorial. She has been working at Mathnasium since June 2024. She has also worked at Hofstra Summer Camps and volunteers at her Sunday school. She enjoys reading, cooking, and listening to music in her free time. Her favorite math joke - Why can't a nose be 12 inches? Because it's not a foot.
Max graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School as Student Council President in 2022. Currently, Max goes to Queens College studying Secondary Education for Mathematics as part of the TIME 2000 Honors Program. Max used to attend Mathnasium while in elementary school and strives to foster the same fun learning environment he had at Mathnasium that inspired him to teach. Outside of school, Max serves as a volunteer firefighter for the New Hyde Park Fire Department and is also a NYS EMT.
Nuha is a student at New Hyde Park Memorial High School. She has experience tutoring her peers in various math and science topics. She's actively involved in her school's Model UN team and science research program, and she likes volunteering for political campaigns and the hospital. In her free time, she likes to drive around trying new cafe's with her friends, going to the city, or running. Her favorite math joke - Why was math class so long? The teacher kept going off on a tangent.
Antonio went to Chaminade High School. He graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Antonio's passion for tutoring stems from the success of those he tutors. He believes that math is a subject that everyone should enjoy.
Darsh attends New Hyde Park Memorial High School. He is a tutor for the Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented students. He is part of the New Hyde Park Memorial Band. He is also an editor at the school newspaper, the Chariot. His favorite math joke - Ever feeling cold in a square room? Just go to a corner; it's always 90 degrees!
Nayana attends New Hyde Park Memorial High School. She enjoys hanging out with her cat and reading fantasy books. Her favorite book and movie series is Harry Potter. The thing she enjoys the most about tutoring is connecting with people and providing a helping hand. Her favorite math joke - Why does nobody talk to circles? Because there is not point.
Disha is currently a student at New Hyde Park Memorial. She loves working with children. In her free time, she likes going outside and listening to music.
