Jon has led the team at Mathnasium of Northside San Antonio for more than seven years, guiding hundreds of students toward stronger math skills and greater confidence. Known for his patient approach and leadership, he works closely with families to ensure every child feels supported and encouraged in their learning journey.
Whether helping a new student schedule their Risk-Free Assessment or refining instruction plans with his team, Jon is deeply committed to the Mathnasium Method™ and to making math make sense for every learner who walks through the door.
Jocelyn began her Mathnasium journey as an instructor before pursuing research at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences, and in 2024 she received the Women of Mathematical Psychology Award for her innovative research.
A UTSA graduate with degrees in Psychology and Marketing, Jocelyn brings creativity and insight to the center. She enjoys art, reading, and playing piano, and loves helping students grow their confidence in math while having fun learning every step of the way.
Jonathan is a Physics major at UTSA with a lifelong love for both math and science. Inspired by the research of great physicists like Einstein and Feynman, he hopes to contribute to groundbreaking work in the field one day.
At Mathnasium, he enjoys helping students uncover the beauty in problem-solving and discover that persistence and curiosity lead to mastery. Outside the classroom, Jonathan runs long distances, plays the violin, and enjoys both classical and jazz music, which he finds as expressive and structured as mathematics itself.
Andrew is a lifelong learner who grew up as a military child, living across the U.S., Japan, and Korea. His diverse background helps him connect easily with students and bring fresh perspectives to problem-solving.
A dedicated programmer, Andrew has spent nearly eight years developing games and exploring how coding logic relates to math. He’s passionate about showing students that math isn’t just numbers—it’s a tool for creativity, design, and innovation. When he’s not teaching, Andrew enjoys gaming, traveling, and discovering new ways to apply math in everyday life.
Kat combines her love for art, design, and architecture with her curiosity about math. Her creativity and positivity make learning approachable for students, and she enjoys showing how math and imagination go hand in hand.
Outside of Mathnasium, Kat spends her time drawing characters from her favorite shows, caring for her pets, and finding the next great TV series to binge. She believes math, like art, is a skill anyone can grow to enjoy, and she loves watching students surprise themselves with what they can achieve.
