I have taken math classes through Calculus 1, in addition to Statistics. I also took Math 4010 and Math 4020 which specializes in learning how to teach the foundational math concepts. I have played several sports throughout my lifetime but Tennis is the one I continued with through College. In high school I won state all 4 years and then I went on to play D1 tennis at the University of Utah. My senior season I was named PAC 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year! In college I worked at Mathnasium as an instructor where I fell in love with teaching math. I then graduated and went on to teach 7th-9th grade math for 2 years. I missed the Mathnasium environment and was very excited to have an opportunity to come back! I love playing pickleball, hanging out with my family and baking cakes.

Fun Fact: I have 3 kids

Favorite Number, Why?: 4. It has always been my lucky jersey number.

Education: I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Elementary Education and another degree in Child Development. I also have a minor degree in Sociology.

I was also involved in the National Honors Society as well as the Computer Science Club, where we competed at various programming competitions. In College, I have been a member of BYU's comedic improv team Laugh Out Loud, where we have won Best Short Form 4 years running and Best Overall 3 years running at the Utah Valley Improv fest. I used to work at a Mathnasium center in Sterling, Virginia when I was in High School. I also taught my High School's Algebra I summer school program in 2021, and worked as a TA for an advanced programming course at BYU. I'm a big home body so I do lots of video games and movie-watching. I also play the piano and the accordion, read, and paint a little. I also really love hiking and rock climbing.

Fun Fact: I speak 3 languages fluently and am working on a fourth!

Favorite Number, Why?: 64, because every factor of 64 is 2^something. And also I just like it.

Why I Like Mathnasium: I really struggled with math when I was in elementary school, and I would've loved to have had someone help me through it and show me that there was nothing wrong with me, it just didn't click with my brain yet. I want to be that person for the students who come in, to help them to learn these problem-solving skills that will help them throughout their lives even if they may not use math directly.
