Alicia brings warmth, expertise, and award-winning leadership to Mathnasium. A University of Houston graduate, she began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, helping children build essential life skills. She now applies her passion for education to guiding students through personalized math instruction that builds confidence and lasting skills.
In 2024, Alicia was named Mathnasium’s Center Director of the Year, chosen out of 1,200 centers nationwide, the first award of its kind in over 20 years. Her dedication, empathy, and tailored teaching approach make her an inspiring presence and a powerful force for student success.
Victoria is our Assistant Center Director and recently graduated from the University of Houston–Clear Lake with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She enjoys working with others and brings hands-on experience instructing and mentoring students through both volunteer and professional settings.
Victoria loves helping others learn and grow, and she enjoys creating a welcoming environment where students feel supported. Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Eddie is a senior at Dawson High School and plans to pursue a career in STEM or engineering. His favorite part of working at Mathnasium is helping students improve their math skills and watching them grow in confidence and ability. He enjoys teaching because every student is different, and getting to see their progress is always a rewarding experience.
Outside of school, Eddie enjoys spending time with his friends, working on his car, and watching movies. He also volunteers with various organizations that give back to the community. Eddie is the captain of the Dawson swim team and loves spending time at the gym!
Joanna is a senior at Dawson High School and plans to study nursing in college. She loves working at Mathnasium because she enjoys bonding with students over math and learning how to adapt her teaching style to fit each student’s individual needs.
Outside of Mathnasium, Joanna enjoys making food for her family, working out, and painting!
Edwin is a senior at Dawson High School who loves working with students of all ages and math levels. His favorite part of working at Mathnasium is getting to know the students and helping them grow their math skills and confidence.
Outside of Mathnasium, Edwin is a member of the Dawson swim team. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, collecting and learning about watches, and hanging out with his friends!
Mr. Brandon is the Valedictorian of Manvel High School and plans to study Energy Engineering in college. He enjoys working at Mathnasium because of the friendly environment at the center and, of course, because the students always keep things funny!
Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys lion dancing and playing volleyball. He also loves photography and video games in his free time.
Caitlin is a senior at Dawson High School who loves math and working with kids, so Mathnasium is the perfect place for her to combine both! She enjoys helping students learn, grow, and feel more confident in their math skills.
Outside of Mathnasium, Caitlin is a member of the Dawson cheer team. In her free time, she enjoys art, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
Joel is a senior at Dawson High School who plans to pursue a career in nursing. He enjoys working at Mathnasium because he loves giving back to the community and seeing the smiles on students’ faces. Joel actually attended Mathnasium when he was younger, so he understands what it’s like to be in the students’ shoes and can relate to their experiences.
Outside of Mathnasium, Joel enjoys playing the drums, listening to music, and playing football (soccer). He is a goalkeeper and loves being on the field! He is also a big animal lover, especially when it comes to cats and dogs. When it comes to music, you can often find Joel listening to Metro Boomin and 21 Savage.
Matthew is a junior at the University of Houston studying Civil Engineering. He enjoys working at Mathnasium because he loves helping students with their studies and believes every student should have an environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and learning from them. He enjoys helping students build both their math skills and confidence.
Outside of Mathnasium, Matthew enjoys rock climbing, fishing, working out, and collecting perfumes!
Xixi is a junior at Dawson High School and plans to pursue a career in a STEM-related field. She enjoys working at Mathnasium because she loves helping students become more confident in their math skills. Her favorite part of the job is the positive environment and getting to interact with students while helping them grow and improve.
In her free time, Xixi enjoys listening to music and running. She was also a member of the Dawson track team, where she competed in the 400-meter and hurdles!
