Scott Fischer has over 10 years of experience as an instructor, loves to teach, and has a knack for determining what specific help a student needs. Scott received a B.S. Degree in Aeronautical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Prior to the Mathnasium, Scott has worked as a corporate jet pilot, a flight instructor for both private and professional pilots, and as the Director of Training for an international jet fleet.
Maxine is an Aerospace Engineering major attending The Florida Institute of Technology. She is very passionate about math and loves working with kids.
Jacinda earned her AA in Engineering through the IRSC dual enrollment program upon graduating high school. She has always been most passionate in her math classes and hopes to help children enjoy math as much as she always has. In her spare time, she takes joy in games, camping, and spending time with her cats.
Aiden is currently a high school student working hard to graduate with honors hopefully make it into Harvard, where he will study psychology and seek to become a licensed therapist. For now, though, he enjoys baking for his friends and drawing whatever comes to mind.
Leonardo is currently in high school, working to achieve his AA in Engineering through IRSC. He dedicates his time to academics and, through his extracurricular activities, enjoys promoting STEM engagement among youth. In his free time, he loves listening to music, having brunch with friends, and cooking.
Sarian is a nursing student at Indian River State College, where she also earned an A.A. degree in Health Science through Dual Enrollment. In the near future, she aspires to graduate with her A.S. in Nursing and begin working as a registered nurse at a nearby hospital. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys cooking, going to the beach, trying new foods, and spending time with her relatives, close friends, and boyfriend.
Zach is a former Computer Programmer who grew up in Washington, D.C. and has lived in Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Denver before coming to Port St. Lucie. He loves to spend his free time at the beach and occasionally does some surfing. Zach is a "life-long learner," always curious about how Math plays a role in our daily lives, and he enjoys trying to impart that curiosity on kids who are studying Math.
Tyler is currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science at FAU. He has a strong interest in various fields, including psychology and sociology, but math remains his greatest passion. In his free time, he enjoys learning and improving in a wide range of topics or spending time with friends.
As a youth, Alex enjoyed his time in school, music lessons, and Boy Scouts. In Boy Scouts, he became the Senior Patrol Leader of his troop, hiked part of the Appalachian Trail, and portaged through the Northern Tier.
In college, Alex enjoyed studying and experimenting with computer code alongside fellow students in the computer lab. He also tutored classes he had previously completed to help newer students. He graduated from FIU with a BA in Computer Science, completing his senior project with the Xbox Kinect and showcasing his computer graphics project in the FIU ICave.
At Mathnasium, Alex aims to combine his Scouting experiences with his enthusiasm for computer science and math to show students that learning math can be both easygoing and enjoyable.
Caiden is an upperclassmen at Jensen Beach High School and excelled at Algebraic math and enjoys helping his peers with their math homework. Growing up with a family of veterans, Caiden is very passionate about history and enjoys sharing his family's stories. Invested in aerospace, Caiden is working hard as an Air Force Junior ROTC cadet to hopefully earn a scholarship to attend the aerospace engineering courses at UCF and Embry-Riddle.
