  Mathnasium of Port Washington is located at 938 Port Washington Blvd, right next to Subway and near Weber Middle School. Our convenient location provides easy access for families throughout the Port Washington area. 

  We proudly serve students from Port Washington and Manhasset School Districts, and the communities of Port Washington, Manhasset, Sands Point, and Plandome.

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes! Mathnasium of Port Washington offers both in-center and online tutoring. Students can attend live, face-to-face sessions online or in person with the same specially trained tutors they would meet at our center.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Students who attend online receive the same personalized learning plans and quality of live, face-to-face instruction from the same caring tutors they would encounter in our Port Washington learning center.

• What math classes can your Port Washington tutors help with?

  We support students in grades K–12 with a wide range of math topics, from early childhood math and early arithmetic to Algebra and Geometry.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Port Washington, we don’t follow a traditional, fixed curriculum. Instead, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach designed to help students truly understand math in a way that makes sense to them.

  Yes! Our specially trained math tutors support students of all skill levels—from those who need help catching up to those ready for a new challenge.

  Advanced students enjoy enrichment opportunities and personalized challenges that deepen their math knowledge.

  Yes! We welcome K–12 students from all educational settings, including homeschooled students as well as those in public and private schools in the Port Washington and Manhasset areas.

  Yes! Our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with their math homework, supporting what they’re learning in school and ensuring they stay on track.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All learning occurs during scheduled sessions under the guidance of our specially trained tutors. We focus on making measurable progress in math without assigning extra homework.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We help students prepare for standardized and school-based math tests, including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep programs use personalized learning plans, targeted review, and proven strategies to help students perform at their best.
