Michael is currently studying Mathematics at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). He enjoys diving into complex concepts and sharing that excitement with students in ways that make math both clear and enjoyable. His thoughtful and patient approach helps learners feel supported and empowered.
When he’s not at the center, Michael enjoys reading, playing games, and solving puzzles—activities that reflect his love for logic and critical thinking.
Skyler is an enthusiastic math tutor with a strong passion for engineering and a genuine desire to help students succeed. As a high school student himself, he connects with his peers by understanding their school experiences, making learning more relatable and enjoyable for them. Skyler thrives in group sessions, where he fosters collaboration and creates an engaging, supportive environment, all while aspiring to become an engineering teacher in the future.
Bryson is currently a nursing student at Galen: College of Nursing in Las Vegas. He was born in Hawaii and moved to Las Vegas, and started school. He loves the concepts of how math works and teaches students to help them understand math a little bit better and grow their confidence in math. Outside of Mathnasium, Bryson enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, going on hikes, going to concerts, and studying for nursing school.
I am a student and aspiring civil engineer. I’ve always enjoyed tutoring and STEM, and I love inspiring others. I like to spend time outdoors, whether it’s hiking or camping, and I am a roller coaster enthusiast.
Hi, my name is Lisa, and I am currently majoring in elementary education at UNLV. I’ve always enjoyed helping others, so I love seeing kids succeed and seeing their confidence in math improve. As an instructor, I believe I can make a difference in students’ education. Outside of Mathnasium, I enjoy playing sports such as swimming and color guard, working out, listening to music, going to karaoke, hanging out with friends, and crafting.
Hi! My name is Nimrah, and I am currently a freshman at UNLV studying biology. As someone who used to be a student at Mathnasium and improved in math because of it, I hope I can pay it forward by helping others succeed in math and build their confidence in math.
Hi, I’m Laiba! I’m currently on a short break before finishing my bachelor’s degree in Computational Finance. Outside of Mathnasium, I work as a substitute teacher. I enjoy helping students build confidence and see the fun side of math. When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me catching up on some sleep!
Born in Spokane, WA, and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Reese has always had a passion for sports, education, and mentorship. He grew up playing hockey and a variety of other sports, developing a strong work ethic and team-first mentality. With a mother who taught math for almost 30 years, education was always an important part of his life.
After spending five years as a teacher and coach, Andrew gained valuable experience in leadership and education, helping students grow both academically and athletically. His background in sports and teaching has shaped his approach to problem-solving and personal development. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and embracing new challenges on and off the course.
Dan graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a B.S. in Microbiology and from Hofstra University's Graduate School of Business in 1990 with an MBA in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with public accounting firm Price Waterhouse and has built successful companies in various fields including real estate and executive recruiting. Dan's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. His mother was a highly regarded principal in Las Vegas for nearly 30 years. Dan has taught and tutored children of all ages and was a mentor for underprivileged children. Dan is committed to significantly increasing Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their overall school performance. "We provide lots of warm encouragement in a very positive learning environment so that children build their confidence and develop a winning attitude towards math. Our kids learn math in a way that makes sense to them. They get excited about math and this spirit carries over into everything they do."
Laurie graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Before joining Mathnasium, she built a successful career working with Fortune 500 high-tech companies, including IBM, SAP, EMC, TIBCO, and MicroStrategy.
Laurie’s passion for teaching and working with children is deeply rooted in her family values. Her father, a dedicated special education teacher, spent over 30 years shaping young minds in California. Following in his footsteps, Laurie is committed to empowering children in the Las Vegas community by improving their math skills, fostering a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, and building their confidence to succeed academically.
In addition to her work at Mathnasium, Laurie volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she advocates for the best interests of children in foster care. This role reflects her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and supporting their growth and well-being.
