Krystal graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences and Education. Before joining Mathnasium of San Marino, she worked with an educational service provider renowned for helping students gain admission to top-tier universities.
Krystal is passionate about education and committed to student success. She is excited to bring her experience and dedication to Mathnasium, where she helps students reach their full potential through personalized learning and caring guidance.
Kimberly is currently pursuing her MA in Speech Pathology and holds a BA in Psychology from UC Riverside, along with an AA in Accounting from LAVC. She rejoined Mathnasium in early 2025 and brings a fun, encouraging presence to the center.
Kimberly enjoys crochet, roller skating, and watching movies. She’s a proud pet owner of one dog and three cats. Her love for math and collaboration makes her a valued part of the team.
Leya attended OSU for her undergraduate studies and USC for graduate school. She earned her BS in Biology and MS in Pharmaceutical Science, and she is currently working toward her MBA. Leya joined Mathnasium in October 2024 and loves working with different students each day – making it fun to help them understand new concepts and solve challenging problems.
Outside of the center, Leya enjoys dancing, snowboarding, and eating spicy food. Fun fact: her go-to boba order is always no ice, no sugar!
Adam is a CSULA student studying Computer Science and transitioning into Math. He joined Mathnasium in September 2023 and enjoys the center’s supportive and relaxed learning environment.
In his free time, Adam plays the violin, boxes, and enjoys video games like Final Fantasy XIV. His technical background and calm, engaging teaching style help students feel comfortable as they tackle new math challenges.
Celeste is a Computer Science and Engineering student at Cal State Long Beach. She joined Mathnasium in September 2022 and enjoys helping students master tough concepts and gain confidence in their abilities.
Celeste’s interests include painting, digital art, crafting, and writing. Her creative mindset brings fun and energy into each lesson, inspiring students to see the beauty in math.

Hobbies and Interests: I love all sports, but especially Football and Soccer. I have been playing Fantasy Football with friends for over 10 years. My current favorite players are Puka Nacua and Jude Bellingham. In High School, I was a member of my school's Math Team and loved entering Math Competitions.
Interesting Facts: I am originally from Boston, MA. I love all New England seasons but especially the Fall foliage. I love going to the beach with family and friends to eat lobster and seafood!

What I love about Mathnasium: Teaching math to students is meaningful to me, and I find it fulfilling to help these kids improve. The students at Mathnasium are well-mannered and have lovely personalities. This job has taught me not only how to teach, but also how to communicate with children. The Mathnasium philosophy has shown me that math ability isn't innate—it can be developed through proper training. This idea has also helped me in my own studies.

Hi! I’m Max. I’ve been with Mathnasium since 2019 when I started as an instructor as a high school senior. When I graduated, I went to NYU for two years to study biochemistry, but later decided to come home and change my major to Business Administration. I’m currently working full time at Mathnasium while attending classes part time at Cal Poly Pomona to finish my degree. I love what we do here because the idea of making math fun for kids is such a unique philosophy, and it’s something I resonate with a lot because I love to learn. In my own time, I’m a huge nerd for science, history, sci-fi, fantasy, superheroes, and more, and once you get me started, I could talk for hours about these things. I also enjoy outdoor activities, and even built a skimboard out of plywood a couple years ago so I could learn to ride it at the beach. If you see me in the center at any point, don’t be afraid to say hi!
Alejandra graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Shortly after graduation, Alejandra joined the Mathnasium of Pasadena team as an instructor and advanced her way to Center Director over the course of 3 years. As Education Specialist, she is now in charge of all student learning plans, training of new instructors, and furthering the training of current instructors.
Jesse graduated California State University of Long Beach in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Animation/Game Design. He previously worked as a Lead Instructor at Mathnasium of Seal Beach from 2021-2023. He transferred to Mathnasium of South Pasadena and served as a Lead Instructor from 2023-2025. As District Support Specialist, he is working his way up to working with all our Mathnasium centers ensuring quality service to our students and families.
