Andrea brings over a decade of Mathnasium experience to her role as Center Director. She began as an instructor in 2013, quickly advanced into leadership, and later became the owner of multiple Mathnasium centers. Before joining Mathnasium, Andrea spent 12 years teaching middle school, where she developed a passion for helping students overcome challenges in math.
She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Saginaw State University and dual bachelor’s degrees from Oakland University. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys crocheting and spending time with her three Japanese Spitz dogs.
Frank has over eight years of experience at Mathnasium and brings a deep love for mathematics to every session. He studied at Wayne State University and has explored advanced areas such as Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Number Theory. His enthusiasm for math extends beyond the classroom—he even writes proofs and programs in his spare time.
Frank’s favorite part of teaching is sharing his excitement for learning with others. He enjoys seeing students discover that math can be logical, creative, and fun when taught with patience and curiosity.
Lauren is a dedicated fourth-grade teacher and valued instructor at Mathnasium. With her background in elementary education, she brings insight, patience, and creativity to every lesson. She understands how to meet students where they are and helps them find joy and confidence in learning math.
At Mathnasium, Lauren loves seeing the moment a concept clicks for a student—the spark of understanding that turns frustration into pride. She believes that when children feel successful in math, they develop lifelong confidence and curiosity that carry into every subject they study.
Samantha, known as Sami, keeps the Mathnasium center running smoothly. As Administrative Assistant, she helps families schedule and manage appointments and assists with student assessments when needed. Her reliability and friendly presence make her a key part of the team.
Sami studied at Lutheran High Northwest and Macomb Community College. She is also artistic and runs her own crochet business, where she combines creativity and focus—the same traits that make her so effective at Mathnasium.
Lyssa plays a key role in keeping parents connected to their children’s learning. She sends regular progress updates, manages communication between families and instructors, and contributes to the center’s advertising and outreach efforts. Her thoughtful updates help families celebrate their children’s growth and stay engaged in their learning journey.
A graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in Fine Arts, Lyssa also runs her own graphic design business, SunnyDesign. Her artistic eye and attention to detail bring creativity and warmth to everything she does, both inside and outside Mathnasium.
