Greyson recently graduated from Boston University with his Masters in Math Education. While working towards his Masters, as well as during his undergraduate at BU, he fell in love with Mathnasium and helping students make math make sense to them. His favorite thing about teaching math is helping students find the method that fits them. Schools do not have time to go over every method for each topic, so showing a struggling student a new method that clicks with them can be truly inspiring. He believes Mathnasium not only helps the student get better at math, but teaches them that they are not “bad at math,” they just haven’t been taught math in a way that works for them.

What do you like most about learning?
I like the many ways that you can apply something.
What is the biggest impact you’ve had on a student’s ability to become proficient in math?
I taught a student that anyone can be good at math with enough practice.
How do you make learning math fun for students?
If you have them solve math problems with rewards and incentives, then the students find it more fun and entertaining.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
