Born in Spokane, WA, and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Reese has always had a passion for sports, education, and mentorship. He grew up playing hockey and a variety of other sports, developing a strong work ethic and team-first mentality. With a mother who taught math for almost 30 years, education was always an important part of his life.
After spending five years as a teacher and coach, Andrew gained valuable experience in leadership and education, helping students grow both academically and athletically. His background in sports and teaching has shaped his approach to problem-solving and personal development. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and embracing new challenges on and off the course.
Morgan graduated from UNLV in 2022 with a bachelors of Science in Mathematics. He started working at Mathnasium in 2018 where he discovered a passion for explaining mathematical concept to students who were needing things explained in a clear way. His goal is to help convince everyone he meets that math is not as hard or scary as people often like to say. When he is not working at Mathnasium he works for a youth outreach program out of Nellis. With some free time Morgan likes to hang out with his family and talk about anything that is considered to be nerdy as those are his topics of interest.
Nicklaus is a soon to be junior at UNLV, majoring in Accounting. Nick is here at Mathnasium to help students with their math skills. As someone who experienced taking math classes during the pandemic, he dislikes seeing students struggle with the subject. On his free time, he enjoys playing bass and studying his major.
Kennedy loves music, science, and math. She is an environmental science student and enjoys being able to work with others to achieve their goals! In her free time Kennedy loves to play video games, take her dog on walk and write.
Sierra is currently an environmental engineering Ph.D. student studying at UNLV. Sierra has worked at Mathnasium for many years and especially appreciates the working environment this tutoring center fosters. Sierra has a passion for math and helping others understand new concepts and achieve their goals. Sierra's interests include hiking, playing basketball, doing research, and spending time with friends and family.
Sebastian just graduated from high school and took calculus BC as the highest level math class. Going into university, he plans to major in mathematics to expand his knowledge and deepen his understanding of the vast world of mathematics. He enjoys partaking in many hobbies, including cardistry, making others laugh, and playing hockey. He is an extremely dedicated and hard worker!
Amira is a current student in the Biotechnology program at West Career and Technical Academy. She will be going into AP Calculus AB. She has a passion for helping others, especially aspiring students, driving her to start a chapter program at her school called STEMsters, a nonprofit program that aims to engage young students with STEM topics through hands-on activity and learning.
Emily is a student attending CSNHS (previously WCTA) whose passion is technology. Having studied cybersecurity, they want to go to college for cyber intelligence! Her personal interests include playing games and she has achieved top in the state/nation for various cybersecurity competitions

Dara enjoys English, math, and technical theater. She is always excited to teach kids math, to see students grasp new ideas, and to see their grades improve. When she is not at work, Dara is often reading or working on a creative writing project.
Sean is currently a student at WCTA. He loves to play soccer in his free time.
Emily enjoys math and history, and her favorite part of working at Mathnasium is watching kids grow stronger in math. She hopes to pursue medicine in the future, and she likes to read and watch movies in her free time.
Chloe enjoys teaching math because she loves connecting with students on interesting subjects. She is currently a Biology major at Northwestern University and enjoys playing water polo, reading, and flying kites in her free time.
Emma is currently a nursing student at UNLV. She likes to hang out with her friends, travel, and dance. She loves teaching students and watching them grow.
Janiah is a senior at West Career & Technical Academy in the Digital Art & Design program. As a Mathnasium instructor, she enjoys helping students gain confidence and solve challenging problems. As hobbies, she enjoys music, digital art, and video games!
She is a big fan of math and has always wanted to be able to teach directly, as she’s been volunteering at a children’s museum for many months and puts a lot of importance on education. She loves cats and has two of them, and is currently studying engineering. She enjoys speaking with people and loves helping out any way she can!
Laurie graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Before joining Mathnasium, she built a successful career working with Fortune 500 high-tech companies, including IBM, SAP, EMC, TIBCO, and MicroStrategy.
Laurie’s passion for teaching and working with children is deeply rooted in her family values. Her father, a dedicated special education teacher, spent over 30 years shaping young minds in California. Following in his footsteps, Laurie is committed to empowering children in the Las Vegas community by improving their math skills, fostering a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, and building their confidence to succeed academically.
In addition to her work at Mathnasium, Laurie volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she advocates for the best interests of children in foster care. This role reflects her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and supporting their growth and well-being.
