Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Julie Lee

Director of Operations

Julie Lee finds teaching math most exciting when she sees students experience the "lightbulb moment"—the realization that math is both beautiful and fun.

She enjoys building relationships with her students and helping them discover connections to math in their daily lives. Julie was the first Education Director at West Newton, and after earning her Master's degree, she has returned to continue her passion for math education.

Scott Reding

General Manager

Scott Reding holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree from New York University. Before joining Mathnasium, Scott gained over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages, from first graders to undergraduates.

His favorite part of teaching math is providing a conceptual framework for new material and witnessing the moment of recognition in a student’s eyes as everything clicks into place.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
