Hello, I’m Ming, Center Director of Mathnasium of Woodbridge, your neighborhood math learning center!
As a Woodbridge resident and mom of two, I’m passionate about bringing the best in math education to families in the Amity School District. Since 2023, I’ve proudly led Mathnasium of Milford, where our center was recognized as Best Tutor in 2025. Now, I’m thrilled to expand into Woodbridge and bring the same award-winning program, led by the very same teaching team, to even more students.
My background spans investment management, education, and entrepreneurship. I hold an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and a BS in Finance from Babson College. Beyond Mathnasium, I serve on the boards of the National Association of Asian American Professionals and the International Association of New Haven, helping to strengthen and celebrate our local community.
At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to empower students with confidence in math, open doors for their future, and make learning a positive experience for the whole family.
Meet John!
John brings strong expertise in mathematics to our team. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Southern Connecticut State University, where he also tutored students in College Algebra, Statistics, and Calculus. As one of our math specialists, John is especially skilled at supporting high school and college-level math.
He plans to continue his studies with a Master’s degree in Data Analytics or Statistics, with a goal of making complex mathematical concepts easy for anyone to understand.
When he’s not teaching math, John enjoys playing acoustic guitar, watching baseball and football (he’s a proud Yankees and Giants fan), and spending time with his family.
Meet James!
James earned his bachelor's degree in education from California State Polytechnic University–Pomona and specializes in middle school math instruction. As Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Milford and Orange, he excels at helping students build confidence and tackle challenging concepts head-on.
With a calm and encouraging teaching style, James ensures students feel supported in their learning. He recently moved from Los Angeles and is enjoying the beauty of New England. When not in the center, James can be found hiking and exploring the outdoors around Milford.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
