Matthew has a background in hospitality and a passion for working with people. His love of maths was reignited when his son developed an interest in the subject, inspiring him to become involved in helping children build their confidence and understanding. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys art, visiting exhibitions and learning about natural history, particularly oceans and marine life.
Thomas has a Mathematics degree from the University of Surrey. He enjoys thinking about maths problems and explaining maths to others in new and creative ways. In his spare time, Thomas enjoys going on walks and speed-solving Rubik’s cubes of various shapes and sizes!
Abby is currently working her way through the levels of her AAT accounting qualifications. Abby enjoys tutoring maths and watching students confidently progress! In her spare time, she enjoys watching women’s football, exploring new places and reading books!
Yolanda completed her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Computer Science at Cambridge University and worked in investment banking, specialising in project management, people development, performance management, and training. She is a cricket umpire and scorer, and when not in the cricket season, Yolanda loves to travel, and recently hiked the Annapurna circuit in Nepal.
Madhu is currently studying biochemistry at KCL. At A-levels she studied Maths, biology and chemistry. She loves working with students to help them understand and further their knowledge in Maths. In her free time, she enjoys running and reading. Recently she has also learnt to sew!
Louis really enjoys sharing his academic knowledge and seeing children’s confidence develop when mathematical concepts click. He is currently studying Mathematics at the University of Bath after working as a Data Administrator on his placement year. Louis enjoys playing tennis, drawing, or practising the guitar and keyboard.
Karthik is currently studying Mathematics at Brunel University. At A Level, he studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths. He loves helping people out and putting a smile on people’s faces. Outside of work, Karthik enjoys playing chess and making music with his friends in their little garage band!
Tom is currently in his third year at university, studying Veterinary Medicine, after doing Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A Level. In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing football, golf and going for walks.
Max is currently studying Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Birmingham. He enjoys helping students build confidence in maths by breaking problems into clear, manageable steps in a supportive and encouraging way. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys MMA, rugby, coding and weightlifting. He has also been swimming for over 14 years, including competing at national level.
Georgia studies French, Spanish and Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick. In her free time, she likes to play cricket and get involved with as many socials as possible! She loves helping students to build their confidence and to enjoy maths.
Sarah is currently studying Mathematics and Finance at the University of Glasgow. At A Level, she studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry. She loves teaching students and watching their confidence grow. In her free time, she enjoys going out with her friends and baking.
Jasmine is currently studying psychology at Durham University and hopes to go into a career in law when she graduates. She loves helping other people learn new things, which is why she enjoys teaching at Mathnasium so much. Outside of uni, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and especially baking sweet treats!
Dylan is currently studying English Literature, Economics and Geography at A level. Despite not doing maths, tutoring Mathnasium has allowed him to keep his passion for it alive whilst also allowing him to shape young minds and help grow their confidence around problem solving which is crucial for the future. Outside of tutoring, he really enjoys sports such as powerlifting as the community is so supportive whilst equally as encouraging do always do better.
Miranda is currently on a gap year and spending much of it travelling! She will be studying Maths at the University of Bath next year. She really enjoys connecting with students and helping them love maths. Outside of work, she enjoys archery, swimming and fashion. Her favourite area of maths to study is cryptography.
Sam is currently in his first year at the University of Cambridge, studying Land Economy. At A Level, he studied Maths, Economics and Geography. He enjoys playing and watching football, golf, padel, as well as going on runs.
Anahita studies Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Psychology for her A-Levels. Outside of school, she enjoys dance and likes to perform which she has been doing for 10 years. She hopes to study Maths or Engineering at University
Toby is studying Maths, Further maths, Physics and Chemistry for A level at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School, in my free time I like to play guitar and experiment with cooking. At university I am hoping to study Engineering
Immy studies Biology, Physics, and Business for her A-Levels. Outside of school she enjoys being involved in Air Cadets as she has learnt how to fly planes and is a sergeant. She hopes to study business management at university post a-levels.
Aaryan is currently in Lower Sixth and studies Maths, Further Maths, Economics and History. Outside of school, he likes to read books and play video games.
Natalia studies Maths, Psychology and Chemistry for her A Levels. She enjoys reading in her spare time and going charity shopping with her friends. Natalia loves helping to develop children’s learning and understanding about Maths, and finds it extremely rewarding! She hopes to study Psychology at University and become a Clinical Psychologist!
Leo is a student at Dr Challoners Grammar School hoping to study Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and RS for A level. They enjoy listening to music, cooking and playing chess and other similar strategy games. Leo also goes to Army Cadets and has been enjoying their time there.
Sadhika studies Economics, Computer Science, Maths and Further Maths at A Level. In her free time, she likes going on walks and listening to music. She also likes hanging out with her friends and playing games with them, like Uno and Lego!
Vihan is studying Maths, Further Maths and Politics for his A Levels at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School. In his free time, he enjoys reading and cooking. He also enjoys various strategy games like Diplomacy and Risk.
Misha studies Maths, English Literature and Psychology for her A Levels at Dr Challoner’s High School. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing and listening to music. She hopes to study Maths at university.
Gabi is currently studying Maths, Economics and Biology for his A levels. Outside of school, he enjoys playing football, basketball and tennis. He hopes to study Economics or Land Economy at university!
