  Our students receive face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment and work with the same caring tutors, whether they attend in person or online.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Students who attend online receive the same personalized learning plans and face-to-face instruction as those who come to the center. The learning experience and results are consistent across both formats.

• What math classes can your Anthem tutors help with?

  Mathnasium of Anthem AZ provides premium value tutoring through a flat monthly membership and a one-time enrollment fee. Most students attend two to three times per week.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  No. Membership pricing is the same whether students attend sessions online, in center, or through a combination of both.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student begins their Mathnasium enrollment with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills, knowledge gaps, and academic goals. This allows us to create a personalized learning plan that addresses their specific needs.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Anthem AZ, we use The Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized, assessment-based learning plans with proven teaching techniques to build solid foundations for math mastery. 

  We build on what each student already knows, introduce new concepts in logical steps, and help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and lasting confidence in math.

• Do you work with advanced students or students who are struggling with math?

  Yes! We support students of all skill levels. 

  Students who are behind in math class receive caring, targeted instruction to rebuild foundational skills and the confidence they need to advance. Students who are ready for greater challenges benefit from enrichment programs that expand their thinking and deepen their understanding of math. 

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Anthem?

  Absolutely! We welcome students from homeschool, public, and private school backgrounds throughout Anthem, New River, Tramonto, Desert Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, and surrounding areas.

• Do you help students with their homework?

  Yes. Our tutors make time during sessions to help students with their homework and ensure they understand the concepts they are learning in school.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All learning takes place during our in-center or online sessions. We do not assign homework, which allows students to stay focused and make progress while they are with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We prepare students for school-based and standardized math tests, including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep features personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and strategies to strengthen skills and test-taking confidence.
