What is the biggest impact you’ve had on a student’s ability to become proficient in math?

I think building student's confidence in math through things like encouragement is the best way to increase proficiency. Helping them realize they can do it by themselves by asking them questions and making them think is how I help students build their math skills. 

How do you make learning math fun for students?

By keeping my students interested in the topics with real-life examples. If you can find something that they actually enjoy and connect it back to the their learning, it helps them significantly and makes learning fun!
