Amos
Instructor
Amos earned his B.S. in Biology from Emory University and his M.S. in Data Science from Northwestern University. Having once found math intimidating, he grew to appreciate its depth and beauty over time and now hopes to help students experience that same transformation. At Mathnasium, Amos is passionate about helping kids of all ages not just learn math, but truly excel at it. His favorite topic to teach is statistics, as it combines logical thinking with real-world application. He especially enjoys seeing the “aha” moment when a concept clicks for a student—their excitement and confidence make teaching incredibly rewarding. Since 2016, Rocco has enjoyed tutoring and teaching on university campuses, always motivated by the “lightbulb” moments when students truly understand a concept. Outside of Mathnasium, Rocco enjoys playing video games and listening to music. His favorite math quote is from one of his professors at MSU: “Everything in math is the hardest thing in the world until you figure it out, and then it’s trivial.”
