Mathnasium has been a great add-on to my son's school work. He quickly forgets what he learns sometimes, so a little bit of this extra work every week has helped him strengthen his understanding of the subject matter and increase his confidence. The Director, Melissa, and the tutors are great with him. Very patient and look for multiple ways to explain a problem. The after session feedback and homework page are very helpful in knowing what I should continue working with him on at home.

Years ago I had an experience with mathnasium that was quite negative. My son did not make any progress, and we wasted our money. Recently I had a conversation with LaMarcus, the new director, and he told me he wanted to make it right and show me that students can succeed when they come regularly. My daughter has been going to mathnasium now for about three months and she is flying through the units! Every single instructor is so kind and helpful, and LaMarcus makes it a fun place to be! I've had 3 kids at this Mathnasium for the past several years. My oldest was not scoring well on standardized tests when we started. Since Mathnasium she had consistently improved every year. Has gone from below grade level, to at grade level, to above grade level. I find that to be a remarkable turnaround. My other two kids have done Mathnasium since they were in kindergarten and score above grade level consistently. It works.

I HIGHLY recommend Mathnasium at the Barker Cypress location. Our son first started going to Mathnasium in 4th grade when he was struggling with math and falling behind. The Mathnasium team got him on track, and it was wonderful to watch our son gain confidence and fall in love with math! He continued to attend Mathnasium through junior high and into high school. Our son always looked forward to his tutoring sessions and really enjoyed working with the tutors. The Mathnasium team definitely helped so that he could make A’s in high school AP math classes. The team also did a great job prepping him for the math portion of the SAT (we definitely recommend working with Mathnasium for SAT/ACT preparation). Our son has only the best things to say about the Mathnasium team. We are so glad that we found Mathnasium, and we cannot thank them enough.
