  Yes, Mathnasium of North Snohomish offers both in-center and online tutoring. Students receive face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment from the same caring tutors whether they attend online or in person. 

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Whether attending online or in-center, students receive the same quality of live face-to-face instruction. Online students follow the same personalized learning plans and receive the same caring support from our tutors as those in the center.

• What math classes can your North Snohomish tutors help with?

  Our tutors can help students learn and master any K-12 math class or topic, from elementary arithmetic to Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and advanced courses. We also support undergraduate and graduate students in select college-level math courses.

  Mathnasium of North Snohomish offers math-only tutoring through a flat monthly membership, along with a one-time enrollment fee. Most students attend two to three times per week.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring?

  No. The cost is the same for online, in-center, or hybrid tutoring. Membership includes the flexibility to choose the format that works best for your family.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student begins their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment. This assessment identifies their current skills, learning gaps, and academic goals so we can create a personalized learning plan that targets exactly what they need.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of North Snohomish, we don’t follow a fixed curriculum. We use The Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized, assessment-based learning plans with proven teaching techniques to build solid foundations for math mastery. 

  Our tutors build on what students already know, introduce new concepts step by step, and provide face-to-face guidance in a fun group environment to help students truly understand and even enjoy math. 

• Do you work with advanced students or students who are behind in math?

  Yes! We empower students of all skill levels to unlock their math potential. 

  Students who are behind in math class receive caring, personalized support to rebuild foundational skills and gain confidence. Advanced learners benefit from enrichment programs designed to challenge their thinking and expand their math knowledge. 

• Do you work with homeschooled students in North Snohomish?

  Absolutely! We welcome homeschooled students as well as those from public and private schools across Snohomish, Lake Stevens, and nearby communities.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors set aside time during sessions to help students with their math homework and make sure they feel confident about the material covered in class.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All learning takes place in the center or during online sessions. We do not assign additional homework, which allows students to focus on learning while they are with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. Mathnasium of North Snohomish prepares students for standardized and school-based math tests, including state exams, ACT®, and SAT®. We also support select college-level exams for undergraduate and graduate students. Our test prep combines personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and strategies to build skills and confidence.
